WELCOME
Welcome to the Schedule for the 74th Tockwith & District Agricultural Show which this year
will be held on SUNDAY 4th August.
The Directors and Committee of Tockwith Show do hope that you will come and see the
Show and, as important, enter one (or more) of almost 300 classes contained in this
schedule. Without entries there cannot be a show!
The schedule is available on our website at: www.tockwithshow.org.uk
Front cover design by Thaddaeus Claye winner of class 631 in the Childrens section.
We are happy to receive requests for a posted schedule for the 2020 show now so please
contact the Secretary as soon as possible at secretary@tockwithshow.org.uk or by
                              telephoning 07976 268012 .
We will continue to make copies of the schedule available in shops and pubs in the area
but unless you made a request for a posted schedule either last year or now you will not
receive one. We do hope you understand the reasons for requesting your address details if
                             you require a posted schedule.
Like most country shows we are happy for you to bring your dog onto the showground.
However we have to insist that dogs are kept under control and on a lead at all times
with the exception of when in the Dog Scurry area.
Please note that bags may be searched on entry to the show field.

The Future
To stage a show of this size we rely on support from a large number of people. That support is normally
through giving of their time or financial support through Sponsorship and attendance at our fund raising
events. If you could help in any way please get in touch with Allan Robinson (Chairmen), Steve Ross
(Show Secretary) or any Director or Committee member. Each year some Committee members retire and
some people are no longer able to support us financially. We thank them for their support but need to keep
the numbers up! Can you help? Please get in touch.

                                     Publicity and Data Protection
Once you have read and understood the rules & regulations (page 9) of this schedule and
have ticked the box on the entry form to proceed with your entry, the Society may use your

                          Tockwith and District Show
Is a registered charity run by volunteers who are passionate about putting on a first
class show and at the same time having fun. Ever thought about joining them? Why
not have an exploratory chat with Allan Robinson, Show Chairman 07970 956840
or Steve Ross, Show Secretary 07976 260812 with a view to joining us. The Show
Directors are determined that the show should get bigger and better each year.
This can only be achieved if there are more volunteers to help in planning, setting
up and stewarding sections of the show.
