 2. INTRODUCTION
As with the majority of sites the philosophy from the
outset has to be planned around the peak traffic flows,
local restrictions on parking and traffic routes.
organisation and close coordination of our deliveries are
essential for the smooth running of the site.
The DSM Project/Site manager will be appointed ‘traffic
Management Supervisor’ for the project who will be
responsible for coordinating deliveries and managing the
traffic flow to and from the site to minimise impact on
the local area as required, this traffic plan will be
amended as required by the project manager or health
and safety department as the works progress / site works
progress or the situation on site changes.

 SITE LOCATION

The site is located within the outskirts of Luton Centre, the
site comprises of a number of buildings that are to be
demolished, nonetheless the site is sited within a live
hospital, the main A road is the A505 and the existing road
infrastructure is suitable and sufficient to facilitate the
works.
