*PLEASE NOTE: The deadline to sign up for a dinner this
Sunday, March 14th is TODAY, March 9th.

Put that sackcloth back in the closet, and leave those ashes in the
fireplace. We've been in Lent for almost a year now thanks to this
pandemic thing, and we need some joy! In order to help you
"Lighten Your Lent!" you are invited to our online parish gatherings
on Sundays, March 14th, March 21st and March 28th from 5PM to
6:30PM. Here is the link to sign-up for March 14th -- Lighten
Your Lent. When you make your reservations, be warned. You won't
go hungry on March 14th! That's because the Redeemer is
delivering your dinner for free that night!

We just want to spend some joyful time together without you
worrying about cooking! Then, on the night of the 14th, we will
collect ideas for how to spend the 21st and 28th lightening our Lent
together: game night, trivia night, or maybe even another dinner!
You decide!

Rev. Mike will spend a little bit of each night leading us through
three of the strangest stories in the bible for fun. That's right, fun
during Lent! For the seriously Lenten out there, don't worry!
Sundays are feast days no matter what the Church season.

Angels! Angels!

Angels! Angels! Join Nick Clark Founding Director Eric Carle
Tuesday, March 9, 2021 - Church of the Redeemer
Angels! Angels! Join Nick Clark, Founding Director, Eric Carle
Museum, and Elliot Davis for a discussion of angels in the
works of Eric Carle and Paul Klee. The recent exhibition at the
Carle Museum (Amherst, MA, now closed) Eric Carle’s Angels: an
Homage to Paul Klee, spurred Nick and Elliot to explore their
overlapping interest in the angels found in the works of Carle and
Klee. Elliot and Nick have prepared a slide show to accompany their
fascinating conversational exploration of their common and
complementary interests in Klee, Carle, and angels.

Join them for a coffee hour conversation directly following the 10am
service on March 21, 2021.

FUEL: Groceries for families in need

                 Thank you for your generosity!

The limits on some food purchases make it difficult for us to gather
the quantities of food needed. Currently, we are filling 185 bags
with food each week, twice what we were doing in the fall.
Thanks to the continued support of so many of you, we have not
had to refuse any requests for food.

Here specifically is what you could donate. Even one or two helps,
but sizes are important. While larger sizes may seem more generous
and economical, the bags quickly become too heavy for the
recipients and for the drivers who lift as many as 40 bags.

Canned chicken (12.5oz) or tuna (5oz each)
    Bag or can of beans
    Peanut butter (18oz)
Individual serving cups of fruit or applesauce
    1 lb. pasta (any type)
    1 lb. rice
Tuesday, March 9, 2021 - Church of the Redeemer
1 lb. rice
     Box macaroni and cheese
     Cereal (10-12 oz)
     Crackers (10-12 oz), e. g. Wheat Thins/Triscuits
Marinara sauce (24 oz), preferably in plastic jar
     Hearty soup

Click here to sign up to sort, pack or deliver bags.

St. Stephen’s families would also appreciate $50 VISA gift
cards. These cards may be purchased online or in person at stores
throughout the area. These we ask to be sent to the Redeemer
Parish Office or dropped off in the mail slot at Redeemer.
