In January 2018, Tribal Council approved amendments
to the Revenue Allocation Plan (RAP) that modified
the educational requirements for per
capita distributions.
The updated requirements must be achieved in order
to have per capita payments paid directly to a Member

In order for an eligible Member to receive a per capita
payment directly, the Member must submit a copy of
his or her diploma and a certificate verifying successful
completion of a financial literacy course to the

During the winter months some people tend to be more sedentary and indugle
in more comfort foods than normal. Maybe it is too cold to do the activites outside
or there isnt enough daylight to do them. Registered Dietitan Erin Stark will
share tips on how to manage weight over these chilly winter months and
how making healthy choices can become part of all lifestyles.
MARCH 13 {Preventive Screenings} NHBP Clinic
Keeping up on preventive screenings and services can help reduce the risk of disease
and conditions like high blood pressure. The most common preventive screenings
include cancer screenings, cardiovascular disease screenings and immunizations.
NHBP Family Nurse Practitioner Jolane Conklin will inform attendees when
these screenings should take place and who should get them.
MARCH 20 {Laughter Therapy} NHBP Behavioral Health
Ever heard of Laughter Therapy? Yes, there is such a thing! Laughter Therapy
intentionally puts the energy of laughter into motion to create and sustain positive
energies for the body, mind and spirit. Behavorial Health Clinican Emilia Marton will
share how to practice Laughter Therapy and gain all the benefits it has to offer.

Health and Energy Acupuncture is a clinic in Battle Creek, Michigan. It offers
acupuncture services as well as nutrition and exercise guidance. Dr. Krofcheck

1. Complete a Kidney Function test with documentation.
2. Attend a Registered Dietitian Individual Nutrition Appointment
or Group Education Program.
3. Demonstrate a documented improvement in A1C or maintain
an A1C at or below 7.0 over a three month period.
4. Demonstrate a documented improvement in blood pressure or
maintain a blood pressure less than 140/90 mmHg (millimeters
N7 of mercury) over a three month period.
5. Meet with a Health Coach, Behavioral Health Clinician or Tobacco
Treatment Specialist and complete a recommended action plan
with follow up over a three month period.
