DIRECTIONS FOR USE
It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
This product is a water soluble, inorganic borate salt with insecticidal and fungicidal properties
effective against wood destroying organisms. Apply this product as a liquid solution. This
product is an effective treatment for wood to kill and prevent infestations of decay fungi. This
product may be used for preventative treatment (before signs of infestation), for wood in
existing structures and for remedial treatment of infested wood in existing structures.
This product is effective for all interior and exterior wood that will be protected from excessive
rain and not in direct contact with the soil. Types of wood include, but are not limited to, all
types of lumber, logs and plywood. Some etching of treated wood may occur from organisms
before they die. Do not apply this product to wood or cellulose material that has been painted,
varnished or sealed. For best results, apply this product to bare wood. Use soap and water to
clean application equipment.
3-14_080220214 Note: Spraying water on some wood species can mobilize natural wood extractives, raise the grain and leave behind calcium or other deposits. Prior to treating large areas, treat a small area with this product solution to ensure that you are satisfied with the final aesthetics. Because of varying conditions affecting use and application, complete prevention of decay by fungi, other organisms or infestations cannot be guaranteed. This product may be used to impart a temporary resistance at these places of attack which may aid in the prevention of immediate reinfestation. Such applications are not a substitute for mechanical alteration, soil treatment or foundation treatment but merely a supplement, particularly where use of other insecticides may pose an odor problem. Use Precautions: Avoid contact with plant life. Harris Termite Powder or solution carelessly spilled or applied to cropland or growing plants, including trees and shrubs, may kill or seriously retard plant growth. IN HOMES/RESIDENTIAL Wood Treatment for wood structures such as decks, fences, steps, sheds, barns and other outbuildings. Preparation of Treatment Solutions 10% Liquid Solution: To prepare solution, add approximately 80% of the required volume of water to the mixing vessel. While stirring, gradually add 1.0 pound of this product for each gallon of treating solution required. Add remaining water to the solution and stir until the entire product has dissolved. Use this solution as soon as possible and do not store for an extended length of time. Liquid Application: Use the liquid solution to control wood destroying organisms, and to kill active infestations of termites, beetles and wood decay fungi. Application may also be made by drilling and then injecting the solution under pressure into sound wood or into the insect galleries of infested wood. For remedial control of wood attacking organisms or for the protection of wood against future infestations, two applications of a 10% liquid solution is recommended. Application Method: Solution can be applied with paint brush, roller or trigger spray bottle. Garden tank sprayer works best for attics, crawl spaces, decks, fences, logs and new construction. Wood surface must be clean, dry and unsealed before treating. Apply solution until wood surface is thoroughly wet. Avoid drilling into plumbing and/or spraying electrical installations. Any white residue can be easily removed or equipment cleaned with warm water and a mild soap solution. Wood should be completely dry (at least 48 hours) before applying paint, varnish or a waterproofing seal. 3-14_08022021

Apply this product in liquid solutions to all accessible surfaces of bare wood at a rate of approximately 5 gallons per 1000 square feet [ft2] of wood surface area. Do not spray electrical components or other non-wood components. Treat end-cuts of wood by application methods listed above, or by dipping end-cuts for 1-5 minutes in this product 10% liquid solution.
