Dear VIEW members and friends,
I warmly invite you to attend our VIEW National Convention 2021! Convention
is a wonderful opportunity to catch up with VIEW friends from all over
Australia and meet new ones, to hear from a stellar line-up of notable
Australians and have loads of FUN!
Convention Days 1 and 2 along with Gala Dinner will be held at the award
winning Adelaide Convention Centre, conveniently located in the heart of
Adelaide’s CBD which has plenty of excellent accommodation to choose from
and transport options including trams.
Attending Conference Days 1 and 2 is a great opportunity to celebrate VIEW
Clubs’ success, learn about national contributions, hear the latest updates
from The Smith Family and debate issues of national concern. The popular
“Writer’s Festival” session on Conference Day 2 will return and feature well
known authors, and be facilitated by an entertaining personality.
As our plans to celebrate VIEW’s Diamond Jubilee were curtailed in 2020 due
to COVID-19 restrictions, we will be incorporating some acknowledgement of
our momentous milestone, VIEW’s special 60 + 1 Anniversary. Absorb the
atmosphere at one of the themed social dinners, dress up and be ready to
dance to your favourite beats.
Enjoy an elegant evening at our Gala Dinner with an impressive line up of
entertainment and fantastic food commencing with a glass of bubbles! Raffle
prizes will be drawn during this evening. Everyone has a chance to take home a
valuable prize.
The Community Grand Celebration, the finale of our Convention, is a special
time for reflection with VIEW friends and members of the local community.
I encourage you, and your friends, to be part of these exciting events and
book your tickets early to avoid disappointment – bookings will open on
Monday 2 November 2020.
Come to cosmopolitan Adelaide, which is rich in arts and culture and easily
accessible. Enjoy the relaxed small town charm in this diverse city.

Adelaide is bursting with culture, flavours, events and entertainment. Taste your way
through world-famous wine regions only minutes away from the city or indulge in some of
Australia’s most award-winning restaurants in the heart of Adelaide.

Adelaide is a gateway to some of Australia’s best wine country and is home to Australia's
official best restaurant, hotel, wine, gin and beach. Adelaide punches well above its weight
when it comes to dishing up the best but don't take our word for it; you be the judge.
Getting to Adelaide
Adelaide is accessible from all major cities and towns by air and road.
Air Car
Adelaide is easily accessible from all From Melbourne drive to Adelaide in just
Australian airports by all major domestic under eight hours, or take the scenic
airlines. Flight times from: route along the Great Ocean Road into
Melbourne is less than one hour South Australia. From Sydney, a trip is
about 14 hours drive time.
Sydney is just one hour and 10
minutes
Brisbane is just one hour and forty five
minutes
Bus/Coach Train
The main coach terminal in Adelaide is the Great Southern Rail offers three
Adelaide Central Bus Station. All coaches interstate travel options to Adelaide: The
depart from and arrive at this terminal. Overland from Melbourne; The Ghan
Look at Greyhound Australia, LinkSA or between Adelaide, Alice Springs and
Premier Stateliner. Darwin and The Indian Pacific which runs
between Perth, Adelaide and Sydney.

The Centre is conveniently located in the heart of the City. To the
North, the Centre overlooks the River Torrens and surrounding
parklands, while to the South, the Centre sits on North Terrace, one of
four major terraces that bind Adelaide’s City Centre.
The Adelaide Riverbank Precinct is a hive of activity and where the
City’s cultural, sporting, education, medical, conference and
entertainment zones merge, making it Australia’s best connected
business events precinct. In addition to the Centre, Adelaide Oval
and Adelaide SkyCity Casino, the Riverbank Precinct is home to the
world-leading BioMed City - the largest life and health sciences cluster
in the Southern Hemisphere - which is located right next door.

Two fun Social Dinners to choose from…
“Wine, Women and Song”
Time: 7:00pm - 10:00pm

Dress up, dress down, dress as the woman you are
or one that you want to be. Sing along with songs
about women that have been performed by women
just to show that we are Simply the Best. Dance
like no one is watching as you do the maddison,

We will do the 'mingle dance' (you have to be there)
and expend our energies after sitting all day!. At
the end of the day what better than a glass of wine,
being with like minded women and singing until you
are hoarse.

Commencing with the presentation of the George Forbes oration by a prominent
Australian, this is the day where VIEW members are able to raise their voice on
issues of national importance. Enjoy the Writer’s Festival featuring well-known
authors and facilitated by an entertaining personality. The afternoon session
concludes with special award presentations and announcements for 2022-23.

Ozaccom+ has been engaged to coordinate
accommodation bookings for National Convention 2021
Adelaide. VIEW Clubs have secured special
accommodation prices at a number of local hotels, and to
obtain these prices all accommodation bookings need to
be made through Ozaccom+.
However, you are welcome to source alternate
accommodation. Please be aware that it is your
responsibility to resolve any issues arising from bookings
made independently of Ozaccom+.

All delegates will need to collect, prior to, or on the day, their satchel including
Convention pin, wristbands, Convention Booklet, etc. These can be collected at
the following times and locations.

Entry to all events is upon presentation of the designated wristband. No delegate
will be granted entry to any event without wearing a designated wristband.

Please read this information carefully
Registrations close at 12.00 noon Monday 16 August, 2021. Please note that final bookings and
payments must be made by this time.
* The$25 Registration Fee is non-refundable in any circumstance. This Fee assists VIEW to cover
administrative costs associated with the Convention.
Cancellations received before 16 August 2021*
Please note a $25.00 registration fee will be charged for ALL cancellations initiated by you the
delegate notified in writing before 16 August 2021. The balance of monies paid by you will be
refunded directly to you.
Cancellations received after 16 August 2021*
If you cancel AFTER 16 August 2021 this will result in all monies paid by you being forfeited including
the $25 Registration Fee.
In the event of late cancellation by you, tickets may be on sold by you to another delegate. However,
this will incur an additional $25.00 administration fee (name change) and Ozaccom+ MUST be
notified PRIOR to Monday 6 September 2021. All cancellations, refund requests and name changes
must be submitted in writing direct to Ozaccom+, not VIEW National Office.
What if the Convention is not held due to COVID 19?
VIEW would not take this decision lightly and will be guided by Government and health advice at the
time. If VIEW takes the decision not to proceed with the Convention due to COVID–19 we will keep
you informed, give you as much notice as possible and seek to ensure you receive a refund or credit
for monies paid subject to any fees imposed. The $25 registration fee is not refundable (see above).
