Inspired by the traditional German, open-air Christmas markets, Excelsior Christkindlsmarkt brings a
cherished German tradition with local charm and a festive holiday atmosphere to Excelsior, Minnesota.
The festival features German holiday foods, decor, gifts and entertainment for the entire family. It is the
family event of the season and free and open to the public.

Saturday St. Martin’s Children’s Lantern Parade
A magical parade held in the evening at 5:00pm on Saturday, November 30, where 1000+
children walk with lit lanterns along with Alaskan reindeer, carolers, Christkind, and Father
Christmas. Your children can be in the parade! You can buy lanterns at the German Specialty
Imports booth inside the market. Children should gather in front of Dunn Bros. on Water Street
at 4:45pm to be in the parade.
