We recognise that each wedding & celebration is going to be different, each couple and family have a vision for their day or weekend and the team at Gradbach Mill will work with you to best meet your aspirations. Each wedding or celebration starts with the basis of which type of venue use is going to work best for your event. ‘Exclusively yours’ weekend Gradbach Mill & Farmhouse exclusively for you, your family & guests for the whole weekend. The price includes exclusive use of our award winning Farmhouse with 7 en- suite bedrooms, lounge, kitchen & hot tub for Friday, Saturday & Sunday night, use of the main Mill event space for the full weekend so you can set up for your event in advance and use of our in-house furniture and fantastic outdoor spaces* Your guests can then book one of the 12 en-suite bedrooms in the Mill direct with us on a B&B basis for the evening of your wedding, celebration or event. There’s also options to have meals provided to you in the Farmhouse including breakfast over the weekend . The exclusively yours weekend option is available all year round. Day only event If a full weekend isn’t for you, the day only option may well be. The price includes use of the Mill event space, in-house furniture and use of our fantastic outdoor spaces*. You may wish to bolt on use of our Farmhouse for the bridal party & the Mill bedrooms will be available for your guests to book on a B&B basis too. The day only event option is available all year round for Monday to Thursday events (excluding bank holidays) with a guest list up to 100 and available October to March (excluding Xmas & New Year) for Friday & Saturday events with a guest list up to 50 - for a larger weekend guest list, take the ‘Exclusively yours’ weekend option. Ceremony only You may just want a beautiful backdrop for your civil ceremony & Gradbach Mill is the perfect choice for that. Drinks, canapés or even a wedding breakfast can be added to a ceremony only booking. Dining Options Formal Dining The Mill can cater for a formal meal for up to 48 guests, that’s a classic sit down table served type of meal. We have fantastic formal dining menus available from £29.00 per person and we would require the lead booker to select 1 dish from each course to be served to guests. Alternatives would be made available for guests with specific dietary requirements with a children's menu available too. Casual Dining Casual dining would be a self-service buffet & offers a greater level of choice for guests. The Mill can cater for up to 100 guests for a casual style meal & can accommodate a maximum of 72 for guests seating wise (subject to additional furniture hire) so for parties larger than this dining would be in a more casual style with mingling possible & outdoor seating available weather dependent. We have fantastic and varied casual dining menus available from £24.95 per person. Canapés With a selection from the traditional to local specialities, treat your guests to a decedent treat after your ceremony whilst you make the most of the surroundings and get the best wedding photographs possible. This includes 64 wooden chairs & 16 square oak topped 750mm x 750mm tables which can be configured in many different ways to create individual tables, larger squares or even a Hogwarts style banqueting table. The configuration of the tables will be directly related to the seating capacity available. Chair covers are available to hire at additional charge. Hire Furniture Options We work with fantastic suppliers for alternative furniture that is approved for use in the Mill, please see options & details below; Round tables are the classic wedding breakfast choice & are best accompanied by the Chivari chair and fresh, crisp linen. The maximum capacity would be 6 tables for 8 guests The more rustic option & fitting with the Mill’s industrial history is the trestle table & folding wooden chairs with or without linen or runners. The maximum capacity would be 12 tables for 6 guests. Civil Ceremonies There are 2 areas at Gradbach Mill that are licenced for civil ceremonies. There is an additional charge of £650 to make use of the civil ceremonies licence & you would need to liaise with, book & pay for the local registrar independently. The Riverside Gazebo Primarily utilised as an outdoor café area during the summer season for passing walkers, the riverside gazebo is the closest to an outdoor venue you’re likely to find in England under the current laws where a legal civil ceremony can take place. The couple, witnesses & registrar will be under the roof of the gazebo with your guests either seated or standing in & around the gazebo and the surrounding area. Suitable chairs or benches can be hired for guest seating or you may chose to utilise the existing furniture used in the day to day café operation. You may choose to decorate the area with flowers, bunting, fairy lights or just choose to leave the area plain with it’s solid oak structure & age old stone flag flooring. After the ceremony, our team can serve you and your guests drinks & canapés at the gazebo, a perfect opportunity for some stunning photographs before retiring to the Mill for the remainder of the event. The Silk Room Within the Mill but separate from the main event space, the silk room can seat up to 50 guests with additional guests standing. Perfect for a winter ceremony or an alternative on a wet day. A room with lots of natural light and a blank canvas for you to decorate to your taste with entry doors from the inside & outside so you can choose the entrance you’d like to make. Other Options If you don’t want a legal civil ceremony there are other outdoor options for a ceremony with a privately arranged celebrate including our riverside orchard. Other Information Bar service Gradbach Mill & its grounds are a licenced premises and a full bar service will operate throughout your event. The bar stocks our house draught beer ’Millers Ale’ brewed by Wincle brewery only 2.5 miles down the river Dane from Gradbach, a selection of bottled continental lagers, full wine list, complement of spirits including an extensive gin menu and a wide range of quality soft drinks. The normal bar operating hours are 12pm to midnight and If you have any special requests for the bar we would endeavour to source these with reasonable notice. Music & Entertainment A band, DJ or just some background music can be the key to a great event. We welcome you to book entertainment of your choice for your event and we can offer contacts for entertainment providers from previous events if required. The Mill has it’s own internal PA system which can be connected to by a laptop or via a Bluetooth connection to enable background music of your choice for dining etc. Decorations The Mill is a fantastically blank canvas for you to decorate to your taste, we welcome you to decorate the events spaces to your taste and we have contact with local companies providing everything from flowers to a full venue dressing service or we are happy for you to undertake this yourself with your friends & family. Linen and decorations are not included with any pricing but we’d be very happy to provide quotes for this if required. Other Information Fireworks Due to our rural location & close proximity to livestock and local residents, fireworks are not permitted at Gradbach Mill. 1) All booking are subject to our standard terms & conditions including cancellation terms outlined on our website
(copy available on request). Deposit & balance payments bind both parties to the terms.
2) Gradbach Mill & the wider external site are licenced premises and all alcohol consumed on the premises is to be
purchased through or provided by Gradbach Ltd. There is no corkage or ‘bring your own’ options.
3) All catering & bar services are to be provided by or via Gradbach Ltd. Gradbach Mill does not permit outside
caterers or for guests to supply their own catering with the exception of the wedding cake.
4) Evening & late night food options are available as an addition to a wedding breakfast & not as an alternative.
Any evening & late night food must be booked in advance for a minimum 80% of the evening guest list
5) Food service to marquees will be limited to a selection of the casual style dining options – it is not possible to
offer the formal dining option to be served in a marquee.
6) Gradbach Ltd will deal directly with the lead guest (usually bride & groom) over arrangements for the weekend
and payments.
7) Full details of any 3rd party suppliers arranged by the lead guest (i.e. venue dressing services, band, etc.). To be
supplied to Gradbach Ltd at the earliest convenience and in any case at least 1 month prior to the event and any
entertainment providers would be required to forward PAT test certificates or evidence in advance of the event.
8) Use of any external areas of the site is subject to agreement & may in some cases incur additional charges.
Marquees are only to be hired via our approved suppler - Jacksons of Cheadle.
9) There are public rights of way (footpaths) running through the site & these cannot be closed during your event
although all effort will always be made to avoid disturbance to the event.
10) The Gradbach outdoor café which is separate from but within the grounds of Gradbach Mill will operate as
normal unless the area is booked as part of the event.

Playing of live and recorded music – 11am - 11pm
Payment terms
Deposit for events booked over 12 months in advance £1000 deposit
Deposit for events booked less than 12 months in advance 25% of the total cost at the time of booking
Interim deposit 12 months before the event for events originally 25% minus the £1000 initial deposit of the total
booked over 12 months in advance cost of the booking 12 months before the event.
All bookings – Balance Balance to be settled 8 weeks prior to the event
Additions to the booking after balance payment but before arrival. To be paid at least 1 week before the arrival date
