Since opening in 2010, we’ve built a name for ourselves by providing the

Cup Tea Rooms offer traditional Afternoon Teas, light lunches, and a great
range of cocktails and other drinks.

Nestled right in the heart of Glasgow’s City Centre, a stone’s throw from
both Central and Queen Street Train Station, DQ Lounge is the latest
addition to our portfolio of event spaces. It offers a stylish and cosy
atmosphere and includes it’s own fully stocked bar, private entrance and
space for up to 120 guests.

THE TASTING ROOM
Tucked away in the charming Virginia Court of Glasgow’s stylish
Merchant City district, The Tasting Room is the perfect hideaway from
the busy city - ideal for hosting all sorts of events!
With full ease of access features including lift, accessible toilet and
step-free access, this sophisticated venue is an entirely private event
space with it’s own fully stocked bar, sound system and private entrance.

THE BOARD ROOM
This grand and ornate room was the nerve centre for the flagship
House of Fraser business when it opened in Glasgow back in 1849.
Originally Sir Hugh Fraser’s office, 170 years later it still looks the
part. Situated proudly on the 2nd floor of the iconic House of Fraser
store on Buchanan Street, this space is ideal for more cosy gatherings
such as a private dinner party or celebratory Afternoon Tea.

Arranging a large event can be tricky, so we aim to make the process as
smooth as possible. You’ll find all of our terms and conditions outlined
here, and if you have any further questions - just ask our team!25
ACCESSIBILITY
We aim to ensure that our venues are accessible for everyone. Some of our locations are
unfortunately in locations which prevent us from adapting them to include ease of
access features such as lifts, ramps or accessible toilet facilities.
We have outlined the more important details below, but if you have any further
questions at all, please speak with a member of our team who will be happy to advise.
MERCHANT CITY Cup Merchant City, Gin71 Merchant City, The Tasting Room
All aspects of this branch are fully accessible. There are accessible toilet facilities on the
ground level, and a lift for access to the lower level event space. The entrance to the
building is also step-free.
BUCHANAN ST Gin71 Buchanan St, The Board Room
This branch is located within the House of Fraser department store which has step-free
access and lifts/ramps throughout. The entrance to the Board Room is step-free
however the entrance to the Gin71 bar itself has a set of three steps with no space for a
ramp to be installed. Please speak with our team if you require further details.
RENFIELD ST Cup Tea Lounge, Gin71 Renfield St, DQ Lounge
The entrance to this branch has a set of seven steps which do not have a handrail. The
toilet facilities are located on the basement level and are accessible only by a further
flight of stairs. The entrance to DQ Lounge is also via a set of stairs, and there is no
ramp or lift available. Unfortunately we are not allowed to make any changes to the
fabric of this building, as it is a grade B listed property. If any guests require step free
access, we would recommend booking at our Merchant City venue instead.26
DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
Please let our team know as soon as possible if anyone in your party has any dietary
requirements or allergies. We will always do our best to cater to requests however we
cannot provide an absolute guarantee in all cases. When given advance notice our team
will work with you to put together alternative options where possible.
GLUTEN FREE / COELIAC
We frequently cater to guests who require a gluten-free meal. We work with an external
bakery (Wild Flours) to provide our gf cakes and pastries to reduce the risk of cross
contamination.
Please be aware that our kitchens work with and prepare food which does contain
gluten. This means that although we take every precaution to reduce the risk of cross
contamination, we cannot promise a 100% gluten free environment.27
GENERAL TERMS
These terms and conditions apply to all bookings.
CHANGES IN PARTY NUMBERS
We understand that plans are subject to change, however to ensure the smooth running of our bar
and maintain a prompt service to our customers, it is vital that you inform us ahead of time of any
significant changes in your party's numbers.
Large party bookings will be provided with a personal booking contract. Please read over and note
any specific cancellation policy on this contract.
LATE / PARTIAL ARRIVALS
Your table will be held for a maximum of 15 minutes after your booking time. After this time, your
booking will be cancelled and the tables offered up to other customers. It is vital that you inform
us if you are running late for your booking.
In cases where part of a group do not arrive on time, it is at the managers discretion whether to
hold the full table for up to a further 30 minutes, or to offer part of the area back to other
customers.
TABLE POLICY
Tables for large parties are subject to our table policy. We respectfully ask that customers vacate
their tables after the required time in order to allow other customers to experience Cup/Gin71.
PRICING
All prices shown are per-person unless otherwise indicated.28 PROOF OF AGE / ABUSIVE BEHAVIOUR We operate on a zero-tolerance policy with regards to both under-age drinking and inappropriate behaviour. Proof of age will be required for every guest wishing to purchase alcohol in accordance with Challenge 25 policy. We will not tolerate any abusive or inappropriate behaviour towards it's staff or other customers. In cases where customers are removed or denied access due to violation of these terms, no refunds will be given. PAYMENT / CHARGES To book an event package, a card detail is required to secure your booking. Until the a card detail is stored on file against your booking, we will continue to take enquiries for the date in question. We urge all interested groups to provide a card detail to secure their booking at the earliest convenience to avoid disappointment. ! All large party bookings will be provided with a personal booking contract. Please read over this document carefully as it outlines various aspects of your booking, including any required deposits, card details or cancellation policies.
