          Welcome to the
          JNSHS Weekly Update
Pictured above and right: Our students, staff and
community raised $3,120.00 for Cancer Council Australia
during last Friday's Shave for a Cure!

What a truly amazing and generous effort from everyone involved, especially those brave enough
to shave their head or wax their legs in front of an audience.

Well done to Ms Crotty, the SRC and our James Nash SHS community. A special thanks to Rachel

          ACA Vocal Group news

It has been a busy start to the year for our award-winning
ACA Vocal Group, led by director Ms Naomi Thurlow.

The Vocal Group recently attended a workshop with guest
artist Tim Sherlock, who is a Composer, Choral Conductor
and Handbell Director. He is the Choirmaster for the QPAC
Choir, conducts the Australian Catholic University Campus Choir, and is also the Handbell Director
          at All Hallows’ School.

We were lucky enough to have him workshop with the ACA Vocal Group and Miss Thurlow, and to
learn a variety of voice techniques and choral skills under his tutelage.
          Well done students!

James Nash SHS in partnership with the Broncos Development Team will be hosting the first
workshop of the year later this week at the school.

All current Beyond the Broncos participants and all Indigenous girls Years 7-12 are welcome and
encouraged to attend this exciting event.

Reaching our goals comes from all the small things we do each day. The Beyond the Broncos Tiny
Habits, Big Results workshops identifies and unpacks the small things we do each day that can
lead to big changes. Part of these changes is the skill of reflection and reflecting on the habits we
have and identifying if they are helping us reach our goals or hindering us.
