Environment
We care about the environment and make every effort to protect it,
while still providing you with a superior stay experience.
We’ve implemented a number of initiatives to save water and energy,
as well as reduce waste in order to leave a lighter footprint on
the environment.
Recycling
We have an active recycling process in place at the hotel. Rest
assured that items disposed in your rubbish bins are carefully
separated and recycled accordingly.
Energy Conservation
Please help us conserve precious energy resources by switching off
your air conditioner and lights when you leave your room for the day.
Electrical Supply DIAL 3
The electrical supply in our rooms is 220V. Please contact Reception
should you require an adaptor / plug.
Emergency / Fire Procedures DIAL 9
In the event of a fire, please follow the emergency instructions and
evacuation procedures located behind your room door.
If you detect a fire in the hotel:
1. Raise the alarm by dialling “9” and providing details about the
fire’s location.
2. If the fire alarm is raised, please calmly proceed to Reception on
the ground floor via the fire staircase. For your safety, please do
not use the elevator.
3. Staff will usher you to the emergency assembly point, which is
outside the clearly marked security entrance.
4. Ensure that you close all doors and windows behind you on
exiting the building.
5. Under no circumstances should you attempt to re-enter
the building.
6. Please do not run or panic.
7. In case of smoke, keep as low as possible, as there is more
airflow at floor level.
8. On reaching the Emergency Assembly Point, the Fire Marshall
will complete a headcount and issue further instructions.
Emergency Power DIAL 9
In the event of a power failure or load shedding, the hotel is
equipped with an onsite 140 KVA generator to provide emergency
lighting and essential services. The generator will provide power
for lighting and plug points in the main guest areas and reception.
Certain services will be affected such as the plug points and lights
in the rooms, WiFi and air conditioning. Guests can request LED
lighting from Reception. One guest elevator will be operational for
access to all floors.

first floor, they offer full hairdressing services, as well as manicures
and pedicures. Opening hours are from 8:30am to 5:30pm, Tuesdays
to Saturdays.

your convenience. Please contact Housekeeping if you need any

Housekeeping

Due to COVID-19 SAFE protocols, occupied guest rooms are no
longer cleaned on a daily basis. Room cleaning and servicing will
be dependent on your length of stay.
Our Housekeeping team maintains strict housekeeping cleaning and
sanitizing procedures according to WHO regulations. Room linen
can be changed on request by placing the ‘Please Make Up Room’
sign on the outside of your door. No turn down service is available to
facilitate minimal contact. .
Housekeeping will gladly provide extra pillows, blankets, baby baths
and cots upon request. To request service or further information,
please dial 1.
Key Card and Keyless Entry DIAL 3
Keyless room entry is encouraged. To activate Bluetooth phone-based
keyless entry, please speak to Reception to download the available
app. Please hold your card or smartphone against the door reader
to unlock it or the lift reader until the green light appears, then select
your floor. You will only be granted access to your designated floor.
Key cards are all sanitized before use and placed in a waiting bin for
48 hours as an extra precaution.10

great care but cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage. All
luggage placed in temporary storage is disinfected.

Smoking Policy
Smoking in our rooms and apartments is illegal and and a fine of
R2000 will be charged to your account if you smoke in a non-smoking
area. A demarcated area is available at our bar deck area.

We regret that we cannot accept responsibility for the loss of
valuables left in the room. Please ensure that your valuables are
locked away in the safe provided.

Get pampered at our in-house spa. Located on the first floor, they
offer a full spa and wellness selection with SAFE protocols in place.

Disable all push notifications. Alerts from Facebook,
Twitter and email can interrupt your day, deadlines and
thought processes. Instead, choose the time of day to
check your messages and be intentional about it.
Give your eyes, wrist and fingers a rest and use pen
and paper instead of typing. Manual writing can
give you a sense of creativity, as well as mental and
physical freedom.
Remove computers and other digital devices from
your bedroom, as artificial light increases your
alertness and can suppress sleep hormones. Leave
your phone out of the bedroom at night. Welcome
quiet time. Don’t fill every empty space with
technology. Savour the stillness.
Go device-free at meals and set meal times as an
opportunity to connect with your food, family, friends
and yourself.
Switch off Wi-Fi and routers at night when you are not
using them.
Stop using electronics one hour before bed by creating
a “Bedtime Ritual” which may include: taking a bath
or a shower with relaxing essential oils, having a cup
of warm camomile tea, or doing a short, five-to-ten-
minute breathing and meditation exercise.
