To: horse owners and trainers
Upon the recommendations of the Nevada Department of
Agriculture’s State Veterinarian, Dr. JJ. Goicoechea and the
Nevada Gaming Control Board’s State Veterinarian, all horses
entered to participate at approved pari-mutuel race tracks
in Nevada must first provide a negative Piroplasmosis test.
Piroplasmosis is caused by Theleria equi and has emerged in
the racing industry in recent years.
A negative cELISA test, within the last 12 months, for
Theleria equi will be reqired for all race horses.
No horse will be allowed to enter unless a current health
certificate, negative test for Equine Infectious Anemia, and
a negative test for Thelerial equi are on file with the racing
secretary.
The health certificate is valid for 30 days when it is made
by a licensed veterinarian in the state where the examination
was completed. Equine Infectious Anemia and Piroplasmos
tests are valid for twelve (12) months from the date of sample
collection.

All owners and trainers must be licensed prior to the first day of racing.

There is no scratch time. All entries are “Enter to Race”, Unless there are alternates then scratch
time is 8 AM day of Race.
All medications including but not limited to Lasix (I), Bute (B), or Banamine (N) must be declared
at entry.
All win checks held until the test clear. All checks will be made out to the owner.
Any horse that enters a nominating race and pays all fees, but does not run, will not have any
fees returned.
Any substitute race or extra may be used at the discretion of the racing secretary and will be
written for horses stabled on the grounds and indicating willingness to race. Any race in the book
which draws seven or more entries will be used before any extra or substitute race.
Races with 6 horses or less may be cancelled at the discretion of the race secretary.
Successful person receiving a claimed horse from a claiming race will be responsible for any
state or local taxes.
Preference will be given to all horses on grounds, or papers logged with the racing secretary. At
the discretion of the racing secretary, races drawn may be rearranged to another race day.

to any horse coming to the race
that starts.
Payable at the end of the race meet.

NOTICE TO ALL TRAINERS:
• You must be able to fully license your owners by having the following
information prior to the first race of the day: Owners name, social security
number, date of birth and complete address. All owners must be licensed prior
to the first race of the day in which they run.
• Livestock identification and animal health requirements upon entering
Nevada: You are required to have a brand inspection, health certificates and
current Coggins certificate. Nevada recognizes EIA as current if done within
the past 6 months.
• All horses must be tattooed. We DO NOT guarantee a tattooer will be on the
premises.
• No check will be issued without the owner’s social security number or tax
identification number on file at the racing office.
• Sawdust and wood shavings are the only bedding for stalls!STALL RESERVATIONS

1) No stalls for Pony Horses, ONLY OUTSIDE PENS.
2) Reservations for stalls can be taken before meet.
NOTICE TO OWNERS / TRAINERS
1) Upon entry to stall area, you must stop and check in with
stall / secretary manager.
2) Stalls will be assigned at that time and a security marker will
be issued.
3) Stall manager will direct you to your stall.
4) No padlocks will be used on stalls.
5) Fire Lane between barns will be kept open at all times.
6) Park trailers and trucks in marked parking areas ONLY.
7) Security will be provided. NO unauthorized persons or
vehicles will be allowed in barn/stall area.
8) By order of the fire marshal and health inspector, no travel
trailers or camp trailers will be allowed into barn/stall area,
only horse trailers or horse trailers with living quarters.
9) Only owners, trainers, jockeys, horseshoers and groomers
will be allowed in the stall area.
10) Gates to the stall area will be locked at the start of the races
and WILL NOT be unlocked until after the final race has been
run.
11) THERE WILL BE NO VEHICLES ALLOWED TO COME
THROUGH THE STALL AREA TO GET TO THE JOCKEY
ROOM!
12) THERE WILL BE NO JOCKEY’S CARS PARKED AT THE
JOCKEY ROOM.
13) ONLY WOOD SHAVINGS ARE ALLOWED IN THE STALLS.WHITE PINE HORSE RACES

SURROUNDING THEIR STABLE. DAILY CHECKS WILL BE MADE TO
ENSURE THE BARN AREA IS KEPT IN A NEAT AND CLEAN CONDITION.
• ONLY LICENSED PERSONNEL WILL BE ALLOWED TO HANDLE HORSES
ON THE RACE TRACK OR IN THE STABLE AREA. THE TRAINER IS
RESPONSIBLE FOR HIS HORSES AND THE PROPER LICENSING OF ALL
PERSONNEL HANDLING THE HORSES IN HIS / HER CHARGE.
• ONLY JOCKEYS AND ASSOCIATION OFFICERS ARE ALLOWED IN OR
AROUND THE JOCKEY ROOM.
• HORSES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO GALLOP OR PONY THE WRONG
DIRECTION ON THE RACE TRACK.
• PONY HORSES MUST LEAVE ADEQUATE SPACE FOR HORSES
GALLOPING OR WORKING TOWARDS THE INSIDE OF THE RACE
TRACK.
• ALL RIDERS ENTERING TRACK WILL HAVE HELMETS AND VESTS ON!
NOTICE TO JOCKEYS
• Any jockey can ride in any race if the rider is licensed by the
State of Nevada and meets the requirements of a recognized
track.
• Jockeys will be paid sixty dollars ($60) per race that they ride
in.
• Jockeys that ride at least one race and are available all three
days to ride, will be paid Three Hundred Dollars ($300).
• White Pine Horse Racing will pay all positions in each race.
This will be paid from the race meet.
