 JoJo Moore Rugby Tournament

         Hosted by the

WELCOME SPONSORS
The White Plains Rugby Football Club looks forward to your participation in the 18th annual WPRFC JoJo Moore
Rugby Tournament, Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the New York Military Academy on Route 9W in Cornwall, New
York.

Matt “JoJo” Moore, an original member of White Plains RFC, has been a quadriplegic since suffering a severe
spinal injury in 1991 while playing in an Old Boys Rugby match. White Plains RFC is a 501c3 entity focused on
being proactive in the community both on and off the athletic field. The JoJo Moore Trust is a New York
charitable trust (501c3 application pending) established by White Plains RFC to provide medical and financial
assistance to JoJo and his family and to other critically injured athletes and their families. Your tax deductible
sponsorship/donation will be assisting a great cause. The all-day event honors JoJo, his wife Peggy and their
family, and celebrates Rugby, friendship and cheer among all who come to play, watch and cheer.

The New York Military Academy provides an outstanding, low-key venue and an absolutely glorious day was had
by all at last year’s tournament. The Tournament continues to grow and this year features several competitive
divisions featuring many of the top Rugby players from the northeastern United States.

This “Rugby Festival” promises to attract teams, spectators, families and friends in addition to local and regional
media. Your tax deductible sponsorship of the WPRFC JoJo Moore Rugby Tournament will create the following
promotional opportunities for your company:

               • Corporate name and logo included on merchandise provided by the Club
               • Banner with link prominently displayed on the Club website.
               • Status as Official Sponsor at the WPRFC JoJo Moore Rugby Tournament
               • Prominently placed booth for sales or promotion of your company

Following the tournament and awards, there will be an opportunity to relax to live music, food and beverages.
Sponsors are invited to participate in everything, through the party at tournament end. It promises to be a great
day!

ABOUT MATTHEW “JOJO” MOORE

JoJo was born and raised in White Plains, NY. Until his accident, he was a physical education and
health teacher, wrestling coach, and swimming coach in the Peekskill School System. In addition,
JoJo served as a New York State softball umpire, volleyball official, volunteer fireman, and church
deacon. He has four daughters and two grandchildren. JoJo has been a quadriplegic since suffering
a severe spinal injury nineteen years ago while playing rugby.

JoJo demonstrated his courage and leadership qualities by going back to teaching 2 years
after his accident, earning another Masters Degree, and continuing to coach wrestling. Since
retiring from full time teaching and coaching, he has been working as a volunteer health
teacher at a small private school. He is a vibrant member of the community and role model
for all who meet him.

ABOUT THE WHITE PLAINS RUGBY FOOTBALL CLUB

White Plains RFC was founded in 1972 to promote the growth and development of Rugby
football. The Club provides education about and facilitates participation in the traditions of
Rugby football, amateur sports, citizenship and sportsmanship on the local, national and
international level. It has traveled to, and hosted clubs from, all parts of the world, including
England, Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Luxembourg, Iceland, Zimbabwe, Hong Kong, and
Argentina.

In addition to serving as a proactive organizing and governing body for Rugby football in the
northern New York City suburbs and surrounding areas, the Club is active in youth
development (WP Under 19s Rugby Club), community service initiatives (annual WPRFC
blood drive, park clean up days), and other activities and causes that can further promulgate
a greater awareness of amateur athletics and the positive impact they can have within a
community.
