Keep up the great work and follow these simple steps to secure
a more sustainable City for future generations:
1. Do not use bin liners in the yellow-top bin, and place all recyclables loosely
inside it. Soft plastics in any form (including plastic bags) cannot be recycled in
the yellow-top bin.
2. Buy products with minimal packaging and recycle all packaging where possible.
3. Clothing and shoes are not permitted in the yellow-top bin. Donate them to a
local charity or attend our next Charity Clothing Drop off Day event.
4. Do not put any chemicals, batteries or globes in the red-top or yellow-top bins.
5. Place your bins on the verge prior to 6.00am on your collection day to ensure
your bins get emptied. Remove your bins from the verge within 24 hours of
your collection service.
6. You can book all of your on-demand services online.
7. Your tip passes are attached to your annual rates notice. Please keep them safe
as they cannot be reprinted.
8. Visit the City's website and sign up to the waste e-newsletter to receive news
about changes and upcoming events.
