MERCANTILE CENTER Flagship Restaurant Building Available for Purchase at 2 Mercantile Center Property Specifications After more than $5.6M in renovations, 2 Mercantile Associates, LLC, an affiliate of Franklin Realty MBLU Building Size Advisors has redeveloped an existing 2-story structure at 2 Mercantile Street in Worcester and has 02/023B/01-C4/ / 16,504 Square Feet executed a new 15-year lease with the Broadway Hospitality Group (BHG) of Boston. The Mercantile at 2 Mercantile Street BHG’s new restaurant will be called "The Mercantile" and will mirror the Boulton & Watt restaurant in Manhattan as the operator has engaged the same architect to design the Worcester location. The first floor of the restaurant will feature a 50+ seat bar with both table seating and window seating throughout, as well as additional outdoor seating for approximately 50 on the Plaza. The second floor will be a similar layout to the first with a large center space bar area. The highlight of the restaurant design will be approximately 1,500 square feet of open patio space at the South end overlooking the Mercantile Plaza and Mercantile Street/City Square Plaza. The space can also be enclosed and utilized in the colder weather with steel/glass operable doors. In conjunction with the completion/ opening of the restaurant this fall, the owner of both the 2 Mercantile property and adjacent parcel intends to upgrade the 6,000+ square foot parcel restaurant façade, garage façade and land area, with an urban mural on the restaurant façade, scrim on the garage and tree nursery with accent light poles.
