Our camp offerings of Woodtrail and Arrowhead and our playground program Sargent Center will have full schedules of fun and entertainment. We anticipate our Concerts on the Common will be as lively as ever and our beach and golf course will be open for you to enjoy at your leisure. Please login to your Community Pass account through the Recreation & Parks website at www.natickma.gov/recreation. After registration is complete and payment is made, you will receive an email from CampDocs.com within a week. You will need to log into your Camp-Docs account and complete your registration by filling out the profile and uploading your proof of Physical and Immunization Record. Participants who do not complete their profile and upload all documents by June 1 will not be able to attend camp. ♦ Financial aid is available. The court is smaller, nets are shorter, racquets are smaller and the balls are foam. This is a fast and fun way to get kids into tennis and keep them playing. Children will sing, dance and act to bring a familiar story to life. Classes will be spent learning songs, dances and dialogue. Children will work toward an informal performance at the end of the last class. Age appropriate roles will be assigned. 6 Adventures and Events ADVENTURE WEEKS (Grades 6-8) (P) Join our Recreation staff for some fun this summer with a different adventure each week! Participants will enjoy a true vacation with theme parks, local attractions & new adventures. Each week participants will be challenged to the best of their ability—completing tasks, working with peers, & learning new skills. Participants should bring sneakers with a good sole, a lunch that does not need to be refrigerated, snack, water bottle and a backpack. Waivers are required for various activities and must be completed by a parent or guardian. These forms will be made available at the beginning of each week. Participants will not be able to attend if the form is not filled out. Trips are subject to change due to weather and availability. Week Two: Theme Parks Jul 9-12 This week we will hit all of New England’s best theme parks and adventures, including skating, laser tag, Six Flags, Canobie Lake Park, and more! Week Three: Great Outdoors Jul 16-19 We’re taking a break from the air conditioning to enjoy some of the great sights and heights. We’ll climb to the tops of the trees at Boundless Adventures, go zip lining in CT and cool off rafting down the Deerfield River! PLEASE NOTE: Wednesday, July 18 • 7:30am-5:00pm Week Four: Sports Jul 23-26 This week we’ll explore the homes of all of the local sports teams, including Fenway, TD Garden, & Patriot Place! We’ll catch a game at McCoy Stadium too!
Week Five: Games & Puzzles Jul 30-Aug 2 Get ready to stretch your mind & body as we discover some of the hidden gems around us. We’ll battle in Paintball; complete scavenger hunts and explore the USA’s first “Questing Center”, Boda Borg! Week Six: Climbing Aug 6-9 We’ll be reaching high elevations all week - climbing rock walls, adventure courses, and exploring great heights in the mountains of NH. 8 Recreation and Parks Summer Camps CAMP WOODTRAIL (Entering grades 1-8) (C) Location: Kennedy Middle School Still Some Openings-Register Today! Woodtrail is for children entering Grades 1-8 in the fall of 2018. There are three activity packed sessions at Camp Woodtrail. Each session is for two weeks and has a variety of options to meet parents/guardians demanding schedules. Camp will take place at Kennedy Middle School this summer. There are options for early care and after care as well. All campers are assigned to small peer groups according to their grade level. At the beginning of each session a newsletter will go home outlining the activities for each session. Register ONLINE this year. If you are planning to earn Community Service credits for graduation, see your Guidance Counselor for the forms and the process you should follow. CAMP ARROWHEAD (Ages 5 and up) (C) Location: 1055 Worcester Road Natick MA Camp Arrowhead is a camp for individuals with disabilities. The camp is located at the Amputee Veteran’s site at 1055 Worcester Road in Natick. The days consist of recreational swimming, arts and crafts, creative dramatics, yoga, adaptive sports, life skills and nature classes. Each day at camp is a new experience with a different theme day every day. There is always something to look forward to. (Campers should bring a bag lunch and a drink each day). There are twelve staff members, including a nurse who is onsite at all times that accompany the campers. All staff are certified in both CPR and First Aid. In addition to the staff we have high school-aged volunteer aides that provide 1:1 assistance for each individual camper and function as a companion for the week; helping the individual through their different activities or just being there as a friend. Natick residents are guaranteed enrollment if you register and complete your Camp-Docs profile by March 23. Transportation is available for Natick residents. Join our team for some great softball action on Tuesday evenings. For 8 weeks we will play other teams from throughout the region. Many thanks to our softball team sponsor, The Charles River Rotary Club. Additional $10 for a new shirt. They will work to help different facilities including Camp Arrowhead, the Beach, Lincoln Café, and more. Various skills will be used throughout the week. Each individual is required to be self sufficient and willing to participate in all areas. All new interns will meet with staff prior to the start of this program. Milne GOLF INSTRUCTION AT SASSAMON TRACE PGA Golf Professional Kurt McDowell and staff will be offering adult and youth golf instruction during the spring and summer. Kurt has been teaching for 15 years and has vast experience with different age and skill level golfers. ADULT GROUP INSTRUCTION Classes are held Monday-Thursday evenings beginning the week of April 30. There will be 5 hours of instruction spread over 4 meetings. Classes focus on new and beginning golfers. Golf equipment will be provided if needed. Fee: $120/4-week session.
JUNIOR GROUP INSTRUCTION Classes begin the week of April 30. There will be 5 hours of instruction spread over 4 meetings. Emphasis will be placed on sound fundamentals and swing techniques. Fee: $120 per 4-day session - for juniors 10 and older For ages 6-9 a 30-minute class will be held on the same days from 11:15-11:45am. Fee: $50/4-day session Class size is limited to 4 students for greater personal attention. Registration begins March 1 and payment is required at registration. BEACH PASS INFORMATION • If you purchased a pass in summer 2017 You will be able to go on line and reactivate your pass for the summer of 2018.
Reactivating your pass will be the same as registering for one of our programs. You may reactivate your pass anytime after March 26. Please keep and use last years pass, you will use the same pass each year you return to the beach. If you have lost your pass you will need to replace it. (A $5 replacement cost/pass fee will be charged and this must be done in our office or at the beach) • If you did not purchase a pass in summer 2017 Passes must be purchased in person, not by mail. Passes will be available beginning April 2 at the NRPD Office. From June 16 on, Individual/Family passes can be purchased at the beach or at the office.

By setting up your family account ahead of time, it will make the purchasing process, either in our office or at the beach, easier and much quicker. Lost passes must be replaced. SWIM LESSONS (Ages 3 & up) American Red Cross approved classes range from Level 1-6. Noncertified preschool classes are also available. Class times start at 10:10 am and are offered throughout the day and are held Mon-Fri, weather permitting. Classes are 20 minutes for preschool and 30 minutes for all others. Classes are subject to change depending on registration and teacher availability. Based on final day of school, lesson sessions will be as follows: Session 1: Jun 25-Jul 13 (3 weeks) $48 Session 2: Jul 16-27 (2 weeks) $36 Session 3: Jul 30-Aug 10 (2 weeks) $36 Beach pass is not included in above price.
