PORTFOLIO We have began the process of organising the uniform
clerkship scheme for SA.
All firms have been contacted last week. This week, I
will be following up with firms their position in
participating this year.
Unfortunately, there is a lot of uncertainty around
whether firms are going to offer a summer clerkship,
which makes this process a little more difficult this year.
2. Pre iden Mee ing
We are planning o ho he Pre iden mee ing d ring
the break with Izzy to give a better insight on the
Careers Fair and Benny to keep minutes.
This will help us plan future career fairs and other tri-
varsity initiatives, please let me know if you have any
ideas of things we can run as a trivarsity.
3. Textbook Fund

Business Saver Account $67,725.06
TOTAL $82,584.42

2. Meetings
For the foreseeable future all of our meetings will be
conducted online
We will also likely go with them on the scheduled
dates that we announced at the beginning of the
year
Due to the constitutional requirement that we have
to have 8 meetings, unfortunately we cannot cancel
any meetings and hold fewer meetings
We will consider amending that section to allow
flexibility for number of meetings held if conditions
don t allow
3. AULSS Movie Night
We hosted a Netflix Watch Party on 27 March 2020
Quite a few people joined it but perhaps half ofEXECUTIVE REPORTS

them were Committee members
It was a low effort event and it was really fun,
however we have not held one since and not
planning on holding another one due to the fact that
most attendees were Committee members
Activities has lots of amazing plans with a variety of
online initiatives and so do all other portfolios so the
gap will definitely be filled with other kinds of more
engaging and diverse activities

REPORT
2. UPCOMING N/A
EVENTS
3. ACTIVITIES OF 1. Careers & Clerkships Guide
PORTFOLIO
Thanks to everyone who assisted in getting testimony for
the Guide.
My team and the comms portfolio are working together to
develop an engaging marketing strategy for the Guide,
E-Copies of the Guide will be distributed between week
7-8. (between 29 April-4 May, date yet to be finalised).
Some hard copies will also be produced for semester 2.
We have asked 20 firms (the big 8 and the large
Adelaide firms) how their clerkship and grad programs
will be impacted by COVID-19. This information will be
published in the guide.
2. Sponsorship
Only one sponsor has pulled out of their sponsorship
arrangement, we may see more of this if the economy
continues to worsen. At this stage however I do not feel
that this is likely.
I doubt that we will receive any more sponsorship
income this year.

REPORT 2. Hilarian
2. UPCOMING 1. Hilarian Semester One Event: Live Staged Reading of
EVENTS Issue 1:
a. Postponed until further notice
3. ACTIVITIES 1. Website:
OF a. Recap:
PORTFOLIO
i. Website theme designed by Argon
ii. We have some control but not enough
that it makes it quite difficult and time
consuming to edit.
iii. Have been toying over whether to stick
with Argon or make website ourselves.
b. Annie building new site:
i. Has explored options on another Word
Press site, Wix and Square Space.
ii. Wix and Square Space seem to be good
options are 1000x more user friendly.
1. Now need to choose one and
purchase pro version to proceed.
iii. Will not go live on this new site until
e re 100% happ ith it.
c. Update on current site:EXECUTIVE REPORTS
COMMITTEE MEETING 3
i. Have spent a considerable amount of
time cleaning out and editing the site
both on the front and back end (have a
peruse if ou d like!).
ii. Unfortunately, the layout is still not how
I d like it but it s hat e have to ork
with right now given the Argon
limitations.
iii. Still quite a few more tweaks to make
before it is 100% updated to 2020, should
hopefully complete these soon!
iv. Are a fe things that e re leaving off
just because we are probably going to be
moving to a new site and thus, it would
be a bit redundant to do.
v. Please let me know if there is anything I
have missed/made errors on/ you would
like me to add on the site.
2. Hilarian:
a. Thank you for all the love and support for Issue
One we hope you enjoyed it!
b. Thank you to the sub-committee and those
outside of the sub-committee who made
submissions really healthily sized issue,
fingers crossed this can be maintained
throughout the year
c. For those who were unaware, we are working
with a graphic designer/editor this year has
been super useful and definitely worth the cost
(Bianca can explain this more).EXECUTIVE REPORTS

4. DISCUSSION - Brought to our attention that the platform e re not
POINTS really on but would make sense to be is LinkedIn do
you think this is something we should be posting on as
well?
o Pros:
Increase presence in a professional
sphere
Opportunity to share student work such
as honours thesis etc.
o Cons:
Wouldn t really be posting anything
different to our Facebook page or
website
Facebook page content is developed such
that e re comfortable ith firms and
other organisations viewing it
Potentially render the website
redundant???
- Could Hilarian please have some honest feedback on
Issue One?
- Does anyone have anything they would like to see the
LSS do through its platforms?
o I.e. Da in the life of committee member in iso
on Instagram stories

2. UPCOMING 5pm.
EVENTS
Legal Research Guide and Writing Guide with the Legal
Referencing/ AGLC 4 Guide is scheduled for release in
the SOWTVAC Period.
3. ACTIVITIES OF First Year Elections
PORTFOLIO
The election polls will be open on Tuesday 14 April. Matthew
Stubbs has organised with Alex Jones to receive the credentials
from each voter and cross reference them with the database of
First Year Students. This will ensure the integrity of each vote,
allowing only first year students to vote for their first-year
representative. The Education Portfolio would like to thank
Matthew and Alex for their assistance and their assistance to
find a workable method to provide the AULSS with their first
online elections. A release date of the people who were elected
for First Year Representative is not certain, however we will be
communicating with Alex to make these results known as soon
as reasonably practicable.
Legal Research Guide and Writing Guide and Legal
Referencing/ AGLC 4 Guide + Zoom Seminars
These guides are in the early development stages and will
assume the usual form of other guides produced by the portfolio
and the AULSS generally. Paula Everett has been in
communication with us and has suggested to run Zoom
seminars and workshops for students to work in conjunction with
the guides the portfolio creates. The Zoom seminars can give
students the opportunity to communicate with library staff and/or
lecturers about various aspects of their study and research.
These seminars and workshops are in the preliminary stages.EXECUTIVE REPORTS

Post Graduate/ Mature Aged Students Guide Life before

This is an initiative that the Mature Aged Officer, Meaghan

priority at the present time, as we are organising the other
guides. This is planned for release closer to Semester 2 to
coincide with the influx of mid-year entry students, which will
include new mature aged students.
