    SUMMER SESSION REGISTRATION DATES
    All enrichment classes qualify for Ongoing Registration.
    This allows you to register for enrichment classes beginning on Tuesday,
    April 13 at 7 a.m. If we experience any closures, we will continue to offer
    classes virtually.
    These programs are taught by a contractual instructor who plans the
    program based upon the number of students registered 48-hours prior
    to the start of the program. Therefore, we cannot grant refund, credit or
    transfer requests after 48-hours prior to the start of the class.

BEGINNING POTTERY
An introduction to the techniques of hand-building, wheel throwing, surface
design and glazing techniques will be covered. Classes are designed to be
repeated in order for students to grasp the concepts of working with clay. Clay

TRIP BACK IN TIME WITH YOUR GRANDKIDS I AGES 5-99
Travel to Burlington Colorado for a unique tour of the Old Town Museum and
show your grandkids what it used to be like back in the day. Participants will meet
at the Active Adult Center and travel to the museum in Burlington (approximately
2.5 hours) in our large capacity van. We’ll then tour the museum and eat lunch in
Burlington (not included in fee) before returning. Please bring drinks/snacks for
the road, we will stop in Limon for a short break.

 PARENTING CLASSES FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN AGES 3-7
REAL ESSENTIALS MOTHERHOOD WORKSHOP
This course was designed by moms, for moms, to encourage one another
throughout the motherhood experience. Research indicates that social
connection improves your physical, mental and emotional well-being. This
workshop will enhance your communication strategies, stress and time
management skills and change your overall self-concept. Classes will be led
by a trained Registered Nurse from Tri-County Health Department. If COVID
restrictions allow, use of our facility child care will be offered. Fees for child care
are $3/hour for first child, $1.50/hour per additional child. Pre-registration is
required for this free class.

ORIGAMI
Children will learn the Japanese art of Origami along with a different aspect
of Japanese culture each week! Origami will help to teach children to think
deeply, gain confidence, solve problems, develop patience, visualize results
and strategize and plan. Every student will receive an origami instruction sheet
on what was covered that day, including the Japanese Kanji character and
pronunciation, and take home what they make each week. Fees: $93R/NR

CHESS
Strategic Kids is proud to offer this unique program using a story-based
curriculum to get children excited about chess. Our lessons are tailored to the
skill level of the students; all chess levels are welcome! In each class, children
will get a 30-minute lesson followed by 30-minutes of chess playing time. We
use chess to teach many life skills including sportsmanship, patience, strategic
thinking, planning ahead, and working towards a goal. The class will end with a
fun tournament where children have the opportunity to win trophies and prizes!
