What is the motivation behind the Arts x Tech Lab?

participants?
Phase 1 & Mid-point Sharing
• Participate in group activities designed to support the
refinement of proposals.
• Present their ideas through a mid-progress report and budget at
the Mid-point Sharing to the expert panel who will provide
feedback and recommendations.
Phase 2
• Develop a prototype or work-in-progress (e.g. proof of concept,
minimum viable product or work-in-progress experience);
• share their experience of the Lab through an industry sharing
session; and
• submit a Self-Evaluation Report and certified Statement of
Accounts after completing the Lab.

5Who is eligible?
• Artists, creatives, technologists, technology companies,
professionals, students
• Individuals, registered Organisations, Collectives
• Applicants/proposals that involve collaborators with
foreigners are eligible, as long as lead applicant and at least
half of the team is/are Singaporean/PR

8How will applications be selected? Applications will be assessed by an expert panel comprising representatives from the NAC, and the arts and technology sectors, using the following criteria: Assessment Criteria Weightage Quality of proposal 70% • Is the concept well thought through? • Is the project original, innovative and creative, and propose meaningful collaboration between arts and technology? • Does the project encourage and promote new ways of artistic creation, artistic practice and/or improve accessibility to and engagement with the arts, through the creative use of technology? Capacity and commitment to execute the project 30% • Does the team have the necessary vision and commitment to follow through on this project? • Does the team have a demonstrable portfolio and/or track record of skills and abilities to contribute to the arts and/or technology scene? As part of the selection process, applicants may be requested to attend an interview with the Panel. 1
What happens after applications are assessed?
• You will receive a Letter of Offer with the Terms and
Conditions and deliverables
• Once the offer is accepted, we will provide updates and
briefings for you to begin your journey in the Lab.
