2. Competition Place:
Tin Shui Sports Centre

3. Control of Entries and Accreditation:
At least one team official and maximum two must attend the accreditation on or before Friday (July
13) 13:00 in order to confirm the delegation. Without this confirmation in time, a nation/club will
not be put into the draw and will not be allowed to compete.
Passports or photocopies of passports from all competitors must be available on request (national ID
Card showing nationality and date of birth or a copy is also accepted). An accreditation card with a
photograph will be issued to competitors and officials.
4. Competition Rules:
The competition will be conducted in accordance with the latest IJF SOR and IJF Refereeing Rules.
Competition systems for different number of participants:
1) In case of 6 and more entries: Elimination (KO) system with the quarterfinal (last 8) repechage.
2) In case of five (5) or less number of athletes, the article 2.2 of the IJF SOR for IJF Ranking Events will
apply.
In order for an athlete to obtain points for the IJF Cadets Ranking List, her/his weight category should
have participants from at least 2 different countries. If this is not the case, the competition can still be
held, according to the organiser’s decision.
If, by the nominal deadline, there is only one country inscribed in any weight category, the organiser is
obliged to inform immediately the National Federation concerned.

5. Participant:
Asian Cup Cadet & Junior Hong Kong 2018 is open for all JUA/IJF Member Federations. Maximum 4
athletes per country/region can enter in each weight category. The competitors must be of the same
nationality as the National Federation, which enters them.
Note: (1) Competitor can only be entered in one weight category
(2) Only entries of National Judo Federations – IJF members will be accepted

Reminders: For contestants under 18 years old, the secondary entry must be countersigned by their
parent / guardian.
6. JUDOBASE Registration:
All participants and delegates must be registered for this event in the IJF Registration System
(JUDOBASE): https://admin.judobase.org/ .
Deadline for JUDOBASE Registration is Monday June 25 th 2018.
After the deadline further registrations (late entries, replacements) are exclusively handled during
accreditation according to the following rules:

Please note:
Above mentioned penalties have to be paid in cash on spot.
Persons without IJF ID Card can only be entered on spot, if IJF ID Card will be ordered until end of
Accreditation.
Persons, who are banned by their Federation cannot be entered as late entry or replacement.

persons can be added.

8. Draw:
(a) The draw will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018 at 15:00 in Panda Hotel.
The top eight (8) from the entered competitors in each weight category will be seeded according
to the current IJF Cadets World Ranking List.
(b) Each National Federation must send a delegate to attend the Draw, a maximum of 2 delegates per
National Federation will be authorized. The dress code for draw is formal.
9. Weigh-in:
The official weigh in of athletes will be scheduled the day before the competition (see
program). Athletes are not allowed to weigh-in naked. Boys must wear at least underwear and girls at
least underwear and a T-shirt. Additional 100g will be allowed for their weight category limits.
Athletes must present accreditation card and his/her passport (National ID Card showing nationality
and date of birth are also accepted).
Random weight checks of 4 (four) athletes per weight category (except for the + categories) with the
same rules as the official weigh-in can be organized before the first fights in the morning of the
competition. The athletes present their accreditation card. The weight of the athlete cannot be more
than 5% higher (without judogi) than the official maximum weight limit of the category.
10. Referees:
Each federation may enter 3 referees with IJF continental or international license. The organizing
federation may enter as many referees as required for the realization of the tournament.
11. Land Transportation:
Airport: Hong Kong International Airport
Train Station: Intercity Through Hung Hom Train Station
Ferry Port: Hong Kong-Macau Ferry Pier
The organizer will provide transfers between the Airport / Train Station / Port and official hotel and
between the official hotel and competition venue. Transportation will be offered only to those
participants who are accommodated via the organizer.

responsibility of the individual user.

email address: jim_hkjudo@yahoo.com.hk); rooms will be allocated on a first come - first served basis.
Hotel reservation deadline: Friday, 1st June 2018
Delegates accommodated in non official hotel will pay Accreditation Fee 100 € per
athlete and delegate.
Countries which cannot make bank transfers are entitled to pay in cash money upon arrival without
any surcharge, if they inform the organizer and specify the number of participants before the hotel
reservation deadline.
Cancellations
Up to 30 days before arrival: no charge
29 – 15 days before arrival: 50% refund
Less than 15 days: no refund
IMPORTANT: Injuries, visa problems or sickness are not valid reasons for cancellation of rooms. All
damages to property of hotels or venues resulting from the stay of a national delegation shall be
charged to their federation and paid in full.

14. Insurance:
Each National (Regional) Federation / Association will assume all responsibility for accident and health
insurance as well as the civil liability for their contestants and officials. The Judo Union of Asia, the
Organizing Committee of the Asian Cadet and Junior Open Hong Kong 2018, and The Judo Association
of Hong Kong, China will not be responsible of any claims of illness, injury and death, of any
participants/officials whatsoever. Nevertheless the National (Regional) Federation / Association staging
the Asian Cadet and Junior Open Hong Kong 2018 shall take all necessary actions to provide insurance
coverage against civil liability for the entire duration.
15. Judogi Control:
(a) Approved Judogi: All judoka must compete in IJF Approved Judogi (supplied by one of the
following manufacturers: SFJAM NORIS, DANRHO, MIZUNO, Double D Adidas, HAYAKAWA,
Fighting Film, Budo Sport AG, ESSIMO, MATSURU B. V.).
(b) Judogi Control: It will be operated with a Sokuteiki prior to the fight. Judogi must have an IJF
Official Label “APPROVED JUDOGI” with an optical code which cannot be falsified. The label can be
controlled with an optical lamp. Each of the competition clothing articles (jacket, trousers and belt)
must have an IJF official label.
(c) Backnumber: Each competitor taking part in the JUA/IJF events is obliged to have sewn on the
back of his Judogi the official IJF backnumber bearing his surname and his National Olympic
Committee abbreviation. The backnumber can be ordered from www.ijfbacknumber.com or
www.mybacknumber.com (Attention: production and delivery takes around 4 weeks). The
SPONSOR part (if needed) will be given to the head of delegation during registration, and the
athletes can stick it themselves using the special glue on the back number.
(d) National Emblem: Athletes can have their national emblem on the left front part of the jacket
within a space of 100cm2.
16. Anti-Doping Control:
The gold medal winner and one of the key medalists in each category of JUNIOR will participate in
doping control.
17. Visa:
Except for nationals of the designated countries, applicants can apply for visas at any PRC embassy,
consulate or representative office. However, we suggest that applicants submit applications in the
countries in which they reside. For any support, the Delegates should send copies of their passports as
well as a letter including the passport details [Full name, Passport No, Date of Birth] to us not later than
June 1, 2018.
18. National Flag and Anthem:
Each Member Federation is required to bring two (2) National Flags (120 X 180 cm) and National
Anthem (short version in CD).
