Introduction
The association was created in Emma’s tribute, a 4 years little girl who died in
2013 from brain cancer.
Emma fought for 14 months against a brain tumor named ETANTR (Embryonal
Tumor Abundant Neuropil And True Rosettes) a PNET family tumor (Primitive
Neuroectodermal)
Embryonal tumors with abundant Neuropil and True Rosettes, mainly affect
young children u der 4 years old and are known to be very rare and lethal.
In 2012, only 50 patients were identified in the world, against 300 registered in
2014 without possibility of effective treatment.

              STOP CHILD CANCER !
Each year, 500 children die from cancer in France. It is the leading cause of
death of children by disease. Yet on our territory, only 2% of funds allocated to
cancer research are dedicated to pediatric cancers.
Childhood cancer have kept increasing of 1 to 3% each year in Europe for 30
years due to lack or research and dedicated treatments.

Goals
Support fight against cancer, more specifically child cancer in
addition with rare and orphan infantile diseases as brain tumors.

Help to improve sick children life quality.

Support medical researchers and share progress in Research.

Promote continuing medical training.

Inform general public about the often unknown issues related to
pediatric cancers.

Promote Women’s sport.

Since 2017, gathered under the team “Les Duchesses du coeur”
                   Géraldine COGGIO and Marine COCCO, the founders of Pour
                   Emma Association, have one main goal; raise funds, through
                   sporting events, to help research against pediatric cancer.
