Help for Our Brothers and
Sisters in Lebanon
When we heard the news of the tragic explosion in Beirut and saw the
video footage of it, our hearts were struck deeply with grief and sorrow.
Out of love for the Lebanese priests who serve the Ave Maria Chapel at Domino’s Farm and have
offered Masses here at Old St. Patrick, we felt a profound desire to share with them in their grief
and to do something positive to alleviate the sufferings in their country. They never asked for any
support other than our prayers, but we feel moved to ask on behalf of the Lebanese Catholics, that
you also would consider a monetary gift. We approached Fr. John and got information about how
to make a donation. The priests local are able to funnel funds directly to situations most in need.
Donations are tax deductible. Would you pray about an offering to the people of Lebanon? And if
moved by the Holy Spirit, simply write a check to the Maronite Order of the B.V.M, noting it as a
“donation for Lebanon”. Include a note with your name, address and the amount of your donation
with the check so that they can send you a receipt. Their address is: 4405 Earhart Rd., Ann Arbor,
48105.
