an offender has been identified and subsequently has been arrested
and charged.
Being able to hold the alleged offender accountable for these
crimes is a great outcome for the Central Business District and our
community overall.
Remember when burglars are scoping out sites and businesses they
are often looking for opportunities, windows left open, keys left
out, places they can stay hidden and out of sight while committing
crime, as well as weaknesses in traditional security equipment.
Alarm systems and monitored CCTV systems are still great target
hardening strategies.
As a home or business owner it is your responsibility to maintain
your security to the appropriate level and to add enough protection
that the risk of breaking into your business exceeds the reward for
the burglar.

The Sugar Shed was created by Fiona Logie in
2013 as a startup business. After identifying a
gap in an overcrowded café market, Fiona
decided a bit of Melbourne was needed in
Pukekohe and thus Pukekohe’s very own Dessert Café began. Banana splits, old fashioned
ice cream sundaes, banoffee pie, belgian style waffles, hot fudge brownie, sticky toffee
pudding and cheesecake are just some of the delicious menu items. It’s safe to say The
Sugar Shed has established itself as the go-to night spot in Pukekohe for young and old
alike.
