New COVID-19 Guidelines
• All Staff and Students must complete the NYC Health Screening.
• All Staff and Students must wear Masks while inside or outside school
  grounds and when riding the school bus.
• Students can remove masks during designated mask breaks.
  Example, a class goes outside to read while other classes are inside
  the building. Not during recess times.
• Three Feet Social Distancing maintained when possible.
• Three Feet Social Distancing is not required on the school bus.
• There are HEPA filters in every classroom and in all offices.
New COVID-19 Guidelines
• All spaces in the school are regularly cleaned and sanitized.
• Random COVID Testing will continue on a bi-weekly basis. 10% of the
  unvaccinated school population will be tested each time.
• If there is a positive test, all students will be instructed to quarantine
  for 10 calendar days. Students will receive instruction while they
  quarantine.
• Some students could qualify for home instruction if medically
  certified. Those include Active Cancer, Renal Diseases, Sickle Cell,
  Crohn’s Diseases. For a full list please see the family guide.
Arrival, Breakfast, and Dismissal
•   School Hours – 8:30am to 2:50pm.
•   Early Drop Off – 7:50am.
•   Health Screening must be completed for all students.
•   Grab & Go Breakfast
     • Health and Safety Reasons, students will eat in the classroom.
     • We cannot have multiple grades eating in the cafeteria at one time and cannot mix students.
       We need to maintain 3ft social distancing.
• Student Admission
     • 3K/4K the main entrance on Hollywood Ave.
     • K-1 the side door on Hollywood Ave.
     • Gr. 2-5 the back gate on Crosby Ave.
• Student Dismissal
     • 3K/4K from the classroom.
     • K-5 from the school yard on Crosby Ave.

Lunch and Recess
• Cafeteria, Auditorium and Gym will be used for student lunch.
• Recess – The school yard will be sectioned off into 4 parts. During
  recess time, each class will have their own section to play in. Each
  class will have their own play equipment.
Visitor Protocol

To ensure the safety of the school community in-person visitors will be limited.
 ● Visitors must complete the health screening form prior to entering the
   building.
 ● Must wear a mask/face covering at all times.
 ● Must use hand sanitizer at entry.
 ● If a visitor is symptomatic, has a symptomatic household member, has
   tested positive for Covid-19, has been exposed to Covid-19, they must stay
   home.
 ● Visitors must show Photo ID and sign in at the safety agents desk.
 ● Meetings with teachers and administration will be conducted via phone
   conference or virtual Google Meet.

                           Every Instructional Day matters
●   Students must be present to maximize learning.

●   If your child is experiencing primary Covid-19 symptoms including a fever
    of 100.4 or greater, chills, new or worsening cough, shortness of breath,
    difficulty breathing, or new loss of taste or smell, keep them home.

Physical Education

●   Encourage physical education and recess games and activities that do
    not require physical contact or for students to be in close proximity of
    each other.
●   Create play areas or zones with cones to help with social distancing.
●   Limit use of equipment that would be passed or used by multiple
    students.
●   Play equipment that is touched or handled by students will be cleaned
    after each class.
Art, Technology, Science, and Library
●   Students will make use of hand sanitizer and hand washing before and
    after handling objects.
●   Surfaces and objects will be cleaned after each class.
City-Wide Screeners
• Acadience K-1 (DIBELS). 3x per year.
• Degrees of Reading Power (DRP) Grades 2-5. 3x per year.
• IReady Math K-5. Pre and Post Year Assessment.

These city-wide screeners are mandatory for all students. This data will
   be used by the NYC DOE for reporting and progress monitoring.
School – Wide Online Platforms
• Literably – Reading Running Records 3x per year
• MyOn Learning – Digital Books and Resources
• IReady Math – Instructional platform in addition to assessments.
