WHAT TO KNOW ABOUT OUR PROGRAM/EVENT GUIDE!
WELCOME!
We are so glad that you are checking out what exciting things we have planned for this summer! Here are a few helpful tips to help
you as you browse through our guide.
Fee: $30/$50 - The first number shows what a member pays, the second number shows what a non-member pays! Hint—join the fun
and become a member to save money! Membership rates are available on our website (www.norfolkymca.org) or stop by our Welcome
Center.
(J) - When you see this listed behind the sport, a YMCA reversible jersey is required for that sport. The same jersey is used for all
YMCA youth sports showing the (J). Jerseys can be purchased at anytime throughout the year. Are your kids out of the age of sports
at the Y? Do you have a gently used jersey that you aren’t sure what to do with? Donate them at the Welcome Center for the staff to
give to a child whose parents are struggling to afford one. Jerseys are $10 each.

LET THE FUN CONTINUE OUTDOORS...
ADVENTURE CAMP (NEW for 2021!)
We’ve merged the favorites of our previous River Camp and Outdoor Camp, and created the best of the best - Adventure
Camp! (Unfortunately, the Kiwanis Camp that we used for River Camp is still not accessible due to flooding.) This camp is
open to boys and girls, ages 7 to 13 only. Each week will be different, so we hope you join us for both weeks!
Each day is a new adventure, as we’ll visit a new park each day! In addition to our theme-based activities, each week we’ll
fish at Ta-Ha-Zouka Park, visit the Norfolk Archery Club, build bird feeders, play on Embrace Park’s Splash Pad, daily
games & activities at the Y’s indoor field turf or gyms, and swim each afternoon to cool off. The fun continues on Friday
with Laser Tag, a Hot Dog Roast, an Ice Cream Social for parents & family to attend, and an overnight stay at the YMCA!
Register early, spots limited!
