The Hockomock Area YMCA serves more than 28,000 members, more than half of which are under
the age of 18. Your child's protection and safety is our YMCA's highest priority. Our greatest asset
is the trust parents and caregivers place in us when leaving their children in our care.

This camp is designed for our preschool campers ages 3–5 to get accustomed to our camps in a quieter setting

Pre Camp is available to all full-day campers for extended camp day fun from
7:00am until the start of camp. Campers will enjoy a fun activity each morning
and then be escorted to their respective camps.

Camp Silver Lake is situated at the beautiful Silver Lake Park in
Bellingham and is a Hockomock Area YMCA camp established in
collaboration with the Town of Bellingham. This exciting camp ALL
gives school-age campers the opportunity to enjoy traditional LEADERSHIP
camp activities such as sports, games, arts and crafts, water
games, swimming, nature, boating, and other special electives.

Our role model to camper ratio will never exceed 1:10 to ensure a

training, dance, swimming, and crafts. After lunch, campers will spend

They will also experiment with paper maché, collage, and

STORY EXPLORERS – AGES 3–6
Our youngest actors will use their bodies, voices, and imaginations
to bring stories to life on stage. Through a variety of games,
crafts, and drama exercises, students will learn the foundations
of acting and storytelling. At the end of the week, the group will
share their learning through a brief, informal demonstration. No
pre, or post camp available for this program.

Throughout the course of the session, theatre camps work together to rehearse and preform a fully produced

musical. We begin each day with a warm up and game, then spend mornings learning choreography, music
and scenes. After lunch, campers have free-play outside. Our camp has weekly themes and each afternoon
we enjoy a fun activity relating to that theme. Show titles and production specifics are TBD at this time
pending Covid-19 restrictions. Past productions have included All Shook Up, Beauty and the Beast, High
School Musical, Annie and more! Examples of some of our Covid-19 program adjustments have included
livestreaming the final performance, outdoor performance, mask wearing, and cohorting campers into smaller
cast productions.

SPECIALTY CAMPS
ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY – GRADES 2–5
Engineering and Technology Camp will delve into the expansive
world of engineering. Looking at mechanical, electrical,
and civil engineering, the campers will engage in group
brainstorming and lots of building. This camp is designed
to allow the campers to be as hands on as possible and to
physically do some building with a variety of materials. We will
also incorporate how technology can help engineers by using
WONDERFUL WORLD OF STEAM – GRADES K–1 tech such as 3D Printing.
Come join us in this introductory to STEM and Art (STEAM) camp
where we will experiment in each of STEAM’s disciplines of Science, *FOXBORO
Technology, Engineering, Art and Math. This is a great paving stone Week 5: July 12 - 16
for our young learners to get an understanding of STEAM and

The CIT program is for teens interested in working in a fun camp
setting. CITs will participate in courses teaching camp traditions
in exciting ways and develop leadership skills to become a future
YMCA camp counselor. Completion of the CIT program does
not guarantee future employment. All CITs must attend our
mandatory training week, week 2 and attend an interview
prior to registering for the program. CITs must commit to
a minimum of 6 weeks. If interested, fill out a CIT application
available at our Member Service Desk or at hockymca.org. You will
be contacted for an interview.
