O Jesus, eternal Priest,
Keep your priests within the shelter of Your Sacred Heart,
Where non may touch them.
Keep unstained their anointed hands,
Which daily touch Your Sacred Body.
Keep unsullied their lips,
Daily purpled with your Precious Blood.
Keep pure and unearthly their hearts,
Sealed with the sublime mark of the priesthood.
Let Your holy love surround them and
Shield them from the world’s contagion.
Bless their labors with abundant fruit and may
The souls to whom they minister be their joy and consolationDear Parish Family, I take this opportunity to thank each of you from the bottom of my heart for giving me a farewell that will never be forgotten. I was truly overwhelmed by your incredible generosity, all your expressions of love and appreciation, your well wishes, your warmth and your kind words. I feel so blessed to have been part of this community for the last number of years. You are all very special. May the Lord repay your abundant kind- ness and magnanimity with abundant blessings from heaven. Never underestimate the power of the Holy Spirit and where the Lord can take you in your journey of faith. As you continue this path of discipleship, you will see God at work, and you will experience Jesus’ love, mercy, and compassion as you serve others. I am confident that I am leaving the parish in good hands with Fr. Matías. Please support him and come to love him. Be patient. Transitions take time. In the end, remem- ber that there is only one Good Shepherd, his name is Jesus Christ. He will never disappoint you or forsake you. I leave Blessed Trinity with a tank full of love in my heart. And remember that our hearts are more beauti- ful because we met each other. As I leave a piece of my heart here, I take a piece of your hearts with me. You will forever be a part of me. You have made me who I am, and you trained me to be a pastor. Please remember me in your daily prayers. As an expression of my deep gratitude, I have remembered each of you in the private masses that I offered this week and will continue to pray for you and your intentions. Much love, prayers, and gratitude, Fr.
As we bid farewell to our beloved Father Alfaro, let us welcome our new pastor Father Matias Hualpa
who will officially begin his new journey with us June 16, 2021.
Father Matias is a native of San Juan, Argentina. After finishing his studies in Information System Engi-
neering, he moved to Buenos Aires and started his career. He moved to Miami in 2003 to work for
American Express. During his time in Miami, Fr. Matias became actively involved with the Church,
especially in the Schoenstatt Movement. It was during this time that he felt his calling and decided to en-
ter the Seminary in the fall of 2007. He received his Bachelor of Philosophy at St. John Vianney College
Seminary and a Master of Divinity from St. Vincent de Paul Regional Seminary. He was ordained to the
priesthood by Archbishop Thomas G. Wenski in 2014. As a priest, he served as Parochial Vicar at St.
Thomas the Apostle for 3 years and then as Vice-Rector, Dean of Students at St. John Vianney Seminary
for the last 4 years.
Fr. Matias has a passion for pastoral life, and is very excited to be joining our parish.
Let us welcome Fr. Matias with open arms and help him as he begins this new chapter of his life. To-
gether we will continue to Bring Christ to All!
