Welcome to Pahang, Malaysia
Pahang, the biggest state in Peninsular Malaysia, is rich with
natural wonders such as the tropical rainforests filled with a
cornucopia of flora and fauna, as well as pristine ancient caves.
The WRE Malaysia Polytechnic International Orienteering
Championship 2019, is the 2nd world ranking even in Malaysia,
despite the fact that the organizers have the experience of
hosting an Malaysia Polytechnic International Orienteering
Challenge in October 2018, this is the best time to organize a
WRE event that is recognized by IOF.
The organizer promises the best organization, an attractive route
and map because more to forestry, and the convenience of
athletes participating in this event. The tournament will be
monitored by IOF Event Advisor, who has been appointed to
ensure that international standards are met.

Foreign participants are suggested arriving at KLIA
@ KLIA 2 on 03 @ 04 October 2019 before
03:00pm or participants take a flight to continue to
come to Kuantan via the airport of Sultan Haji Ahmad
Shah Airport and it takes only 45 minutes from KLIA @
KLIA 2. Shuttle buses will be arranged to/from the
airport. Departure time of the shuttle buses from the
airport to the hotel on 03@04 October will be at
3.00pm.

Competition Rules The 2017 edition of Competition Rules for IOF Foot Orienteering Events Maps All the event maps will be newly surveyed in 2017 and 2018, according to ISOM 2017 for Middle Distance and ISSOM for Sprint Events. Scale sprint distance map – 1 : 5000, Contour interval – 2.5m Scale middle distance map – 1 : 10 000, Contour interval – 5m No version of old maps of the area Map extracts and terrain descriptions will be published in the next Bulletins.
Punching System The Sportident punching system will be used in all competitions. Entries & Prizes Welcome all elite runners around the world to join the WRE. The runners shall provide the IOF ID when he/she registers. If necessary, please sign up for IOF ID via the following website : https://eventor.orienteering.org/Events. Entries are opened for everyone. First 3 places in each class get cash money, trophies, medals, diplomas and souvenir, and 4-5 places gets trophies, medal, diplomas and hamper. Anti Doping (AMADAS - WADA) Doping is forbidden: “Think positive – test negative“. All competitors shall follow the IOF Anti-Doping Code.
1/3 Accommodation Accommodation can be rented at the LODGE POLISAS, any bookings can be arranged through the organizer during registration.
