                                                   SYNOPSIS

Toni loves his espresso machine. Paul adores his
smart phone. Toni can’t do anything without his
hair-growth pills. Paul can’t function without
Amazon, Siri and his sacred sneakers. Both can’t
make it through one day without each other, but
every day is a constant battle to see who’s the
biggest and the best. Everything changes when
they find themselves sitting at home without
any possessions, naked and freezing. It’s day 1 of
a 100-day wager Toni and Paul have made with
one another. They’ve given up everything they
own and will only get one item back per day.
How much do we really need and who are we
                                                   without our possessions? Suddenly, everyday
life becomes immensely complicated, but also
incredibly simple for Toni and Paul if it weren‘t
for the ongoing wager and their desire to win
                                                   over the other.

                                                      SYNOPSIS

                                                      Ruhr Valley, Germany, 1972. Hans-Peter is a
pudgy nine year-old growing up in the security

corner shop. However, dark shadows soon loom
over the boy’s everyday life as his once cheerful

an operation. Hans-Peter’s sad and hardworking
father leaves him mostly in the care of his two

strong personalities. Their love and care make it

emotional turmoil and use his comedic talents to

                                           SYNOPSIS

Through a curious mix-up, the petty criminal
Denis suddenly finds himself in the position of a
caretaker for the stroke patient Raimund. All he
really wanted to do was break into Raimund’s
house in order to finally pay off his debts to some
disagreeable crooks. Instead, he now sits captive
in the rich businessman’s house, who, since his
seizure has been confined to a wheelchair. When
Raimund’s granddaughter Charlotte shows up to
check on him, it’s finally too much for Denis. But
escape is not an option as a mighty snowstorm
is raging in the region. And so he must continue
to play the role of the caretaker – very much
to Raimund’s dismay, who is doing everything
he can to fend off the intruder. In contrast to
Charlotte, Raimund has long since seen through
Denis’ facade. A cat-and-mouse game begins,
in which the handicapped senior and the clever
young man put their resources to terrific use...

                                       SYNOPSIS

A different kind of zombie film. Female written,
                                       directed, shot and produced.

Two years after zombies have overrun the earth,
the German towns of Weimar and Jena are the
last hold-outs of human civilization. Two young
women, VIVI and EVA, flee the confines of the
                                       Weimar zombie-free community. Their journey
takes them into a lush and beautiful post-
apocalyptic landscape: in the absence of humans,
nature has taken over. Finally realizing that the
fight against the undead may not be theirs, a new
                                       understanding emerges.

suspected… During their mission, the two
                                                 opposite characters become an unbeatable

                                              SYNOPSIS

In 1939, Alfred Lion and Francis Wolff, two young
émigrés from Berlin, founded the legendary jazz
label Blue Note Records in New York. The label
dedicated itself exclusively to the recording
of American jazz music and developed its own
                                              unmistakeable recording style and sound.

Blue Note Records discovered and produced
an impressive roster of international jazz stars.
This included Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock,
John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Wayne Shorter,
Thelonious Monk and Quincy Jones. At a time
when Afro-American musicians in the USA were
discriminated against and ostracised, Blue Note
Records respected them as artists and equals.
Not only did the label value their talents, it
also gave them a much-needed stage. IT MUST
SCHWING tells the moving story of two friends,
united by a passionate love for jazz, and of their
profound belief in equality and freedom for every

                                                 SYNOPSIS

THE BEAST IN THE JUNGLE is a film adaptation
of Henry James’ 19th century novella of the
same name. Set in a remote English country
mansion and stretching from the Jamesian era
to a globalized present-day setting, the film uses
dance to recount the epic and unconventional
love story of John Marcher (Dane Jeremy Hurst)
and May Bartram (Sarah Reynolds). During a
chance encounter ten years after first meeting,
May reminds John that he once revealed to her
a deep and menacing conviction that his life
would be defined by a life-changing experience
                                                 – one that was waiting for him “like a Beast in
the Jungle.” Intrigued by his continued belief in
this foreboding secret, May decides to stay by
John’s side and soon develops feelings of genuine
love for him. John is not able to reciprocate
her devotion, preferring instead to resume his
shallow life as a travelling businessman. Only
when it’s too late, does John realize that the
beast had already sprung into the jungle of his life.

                                              SYNOPSIS

Isabella (35) is a driven business woman in
Stockholm’s finance world. When she goes home
to the small town she grew up in to celebrate
her father’s sixtieth birthday, she feels like a
winner, the only one in her old school gang
who things have really gone well for. Isabella’s
selfconfidence falters when she realizes that
Simon, her great love from her teen years, is
going to marry Isabella’s childhood friend Molly,
and that she isn’t invited to the wedding. Isabella
is accustomed to getting what she wants, and it
disturbs her to see Simon so happy with someone
else. Unfortunately, there are some feelings that
                                              never go away.

A PIECE OF MY HEART is based on the musical
work of legendary Swedish artist Tomas Ledin.

When crisis strikes we reveal our true colors.

Beware of Children traces the dramatic aftermath
of a tragic event in a middle class suburb of Oslo.
During a break in school 13 year-old Lykke, the
daughter of a prominent Labour Party member,

later dies in hospital, contradicting versions of

innocent play behind? Liv, the school’s principal
and the secret lover of Jamie’s father, must find
the strength to confront a community in distress,
and her own highly conflicted emotions.
