Licensed in the state of Oregon. Ken is a long-time Bend resident and can remember when the
population was 17,000, 3rd street had only three stop lights, and Mt. Bachelor's chairs were named after
colors. A lot has changed since those days, but all the things that made Bend special back then are still
here today. Ken began his real estate career in 2006 and has successfully assisted hundreds of buyers
and sellers in their quest to understand the market and achieve their goal of either owning property in
Central Oregon or maximizing proceeds from their sale. Prior to real estate, Ken spent time in banking,
investments, and owned two businesses. He is a graduate of the University of Oregon and an avid Duck
fan. Ken enjoys all that Central Oregon has to offer; fly fishing, hiking, biking, skiing, camping, stand up
paddling, hunting, rock climbing, and more; but his first love is golf. When not providing outstanding
customer service to his clients, Ken can be found on the driving range, putting green, or teeing off on #1.

For most new residents, Central Oregon is a lifestyle choice,
offering year-round recreational opportunities and world-class
amenities, all with the benefits of small-town living. The region
consists of Deschutes, Jefferson and Crook counties, with a
combined population of approximately 210,000. Deschutes is
the largest of the three counties, and Bend is the hub
and most populous city in the region.
Central Oregon is surrounded by natural beauty to be enjoyed
during every season. With the Cascade Mountain Range to
the west, the smaller Ochoco Mountains to the east, and the
Deschutes and Columbia rivers meandering through the region,
it’s no wonder that recreation is king here.
The region boasts more than 30 golf courses, whitewater rafting,
world-class fly-fishing, more than 1,000 climbing routes, 3,600
skiable acres at Mt. Bachelor and another ski destination at Hoodoo
in Sisters, along with 1,200 miles of narrow dirt mountain bike trails
(or singletrack), which double as snowshoeing and nordic skiing
trails in the winter. Other options include paddleboarding on one
of the 40 lakes in the region, hiking, camping, horseback riding or
exploring thousands of acres of parks.
Locally owned boutiques, wine shops, coffeehouses and
restaurants line the streets of each Central Oregon town,
all boasting unique personalities.
Extraordinary living on the land of Central Oregon could be living the
rural lifestyle, having room to breathe and property to roam. It could
be a place to raise your family or to pursue the dream of raising
horses, cattle, llamas or the increasingly popular alpacas. In Oregon

The Bend-La Pine School District has much to celebrate, with the release of the Oregon Department of
Education’s Report Card. Twenty-four of the district’s 28 schools have earned the state’s top rankings of either 4
or 5. In 2016, seven schools earned a ranking of 5, making them part of the top 10 percent of schools in Oregon;
this is an increase from 2015, when five schools in the district earned a 5 rating.

Sisters School District is one of the most highly acclaimed school districts of its size in Oregon - not only for
academics, activities and sports, but also for community, parent and business partnership support.
The Redmond School District has a well-deserved reputation for strong schools that offer a wide range of
opportunities for students. It is the district’s goal that all graduates have the knowledge and skills of highly
literate students: students who are college and/or career ready and have the tools necessary to be successful.
The Crook County School District acquired $33.5 million in funds through the sale of tax-exempt bonds to build a new
elementary school and refurbish existing buildings, resulting in plans for multiple capital projects that are now complete.

Central Oregon–a veritable natural playground.
If there's one trait most people in the region share, it’s a passion for outdoor recreation. We play hard, and

Few areas have a nationally renowned golf course, let alone three! Crosswater at Sunriver, Tetherow and the Jack
Nicklaus Signature Course at Pronghorn have all earned accolades. The region’s 30 courses offer stunning
vistas, manicured fairways and challenges for players of any skill level. Some of the courses are open year-
round (weather permitting), so you’re never too far from another 18 holes.
Courses run the gamut in cost and amenities. Juniper Golf Course in Redmond won’t break the bank with greens
fees and is well-suited for a casual round. Meanwhile, new resort courses come with resort prices and all the extras
one expects for that price. Tetherow and Pronghorn, for example, offer a complete experience: golf, food and
ambience. The region also has a handful of private clubs, for players who want to take things to the next level.
In-between are courses that feature spectacular views and exceptional layouts at a variety of price points.
From high-desert tracks, where lava rocks and sagebrush await just off the fairway, to mountain meadows with
tree-lined fairways, each course is memorable. The mountains are on display at Lost Tracks, the red sand traps
of Aspen Lakes provide striking visual contrast to ancient pines, and Crooked River Ranch tempts players to
shoot close to the edge of the Crooked River Gorge, if only to better take in the amazing views.

snowfall per year, while the city of Bend gets less than 30 inches! Central Oregon is a nationally recognized winter
