Located in Central City Park’s Round Building, Keep Macon-
Bibb Beautiful Commission is selling official Yoshino Cherry
Trees. Trees are $10.00 each. For more information,

GOLF CART RAFFLE

For $10 a ticket, you have the opportunity to win a golf
cart and trailer. Tickets can be purchased at the Cherry
Blossom Gift Shop, located in Round Building at Central
City Park. The winner will be announced at Blossoms and
Bayous on October 22, 2020. You do not have to present
to win.

MAKING MACON LIVABLE 365
Presented by: AARP
In 2012, our community was recognized by AARP and the
World Health Organization as an Age Friendly Community,
the first in the country. The Making Macon Livable 365
display, located in the Round Building at Central City
Park, showcases the 8 Domains of Age Friendly—outdoor
spaces, transportation, housing, social participation, respect
and social inclusion, civic participation and employment,
communication and information, and community support
and health services. The display is open during Park
hours.* Over 90% of Cherry Blossom Festival events are
Age Friendly.

HOW MANY CHERRY TREES ARE IN MACON?
There are 300,000 – 350,000 Yoshino Cherry Trees in
Macon, Georgia, which gives us the Congressional Record
of the Cherry Blossom Capital of the World.

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE A PIN?
Purchase a 2020 Pin from the Gift Shop at Central City
Park during the Festival or from select Robins Financial
Credit Union locations. For other locations, please visit

WHERE ARE THE TWO CENTRAL CITY PARK
ENTRANCES?
There are two convenient entrances:
Round Building entrance and Willie Smokie Glover Road
entrance. $5/person; Children 10 and under FREE!

CENTRAL CITY PARK?
Outside food and drinks are NOT permitted in Central
City Park. Coolers are also prohibited from the Park.
Concessions are sold within the Park.

Dogs and pets are not permitted at Central City Park or
Tunes and Balloons.

Chairs are permitted. If the chair is in a bag, it must be
removed from the bag and shown to the admissions team.

WHERE DO I PARK WHEN VISITING CENTRAL
CITY PARK?
On a first-come, first-served, limited basis, there are two
free parking lots within Central City Park-- United Building
parking lot and Luther Williams Field parking lot. We also
provide three free Park & Walk locations near Central
City Park. Two parking lots are located along Walnut
Street, one lot is located along 7th Street. Please look for
directional signage and pink flags noting our Free Park
& Walk locations. We also offer overflow parking at an
additional free Park & Walk location on New Street and
Riverside Drive (843 Riverside Drive, Macon, GA 31210).

Handicapped parking is located inside Central City Park.
Please enter the Festival at Willie Smokie Glover Drive and
turn into the United Building parking lot on your right.
There are signs noting handicapped parking spaces.

  In celebration of spring and the Cherry Blossom Festival,
  Central Georgia artists interpret botanical themes in
  artwork representing a variety of genres. These unique
  handmade items are curated by Macon Arts Alliance and
  will be exhibited and for sale from March 6-27 at the
  Macon Arts Gallery. An opening reception with artists in
  attendance will be held Friday, March 6 from 5:00-8:00

  WALK MS MACON

  The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is bringing a
  Walk MS to Macon, GA, on March 14th! While there is
  no registration fee for Walk MS, the Society encourages
  participants to pledge a donation. Money raised at Walk
  MS helps fund groundbreaking research and supports
  programs and services for those impacted by MS. This
  event is an opportunity to come as an individual or
  as a team to raise money and awareness for Multiple
  Sclerosis. The site opens at 8 am with the Walk beginning
  at 10 am, and ending around noon. Music and food are
  available at registration outside the GEICO building in the
  courtyard at 4400 Ocmulgee East Blvd. Macon, GA 31295.
  The 1 and 3 mile walk routes will start and end from that

     shrubs and plants at great prices. Free gardening advice
     and research-based information are available. Bare-root
     Cherry trees for your home and garden are featured!

     continues the campaign for Reading Awareness in March
     by featuring Reading Rocks Family Fun Day. Children
     of all ages are welcome as well as families to attend
     and even bring their favorite book to read in the Park.
     Bounce houses, reading stations, prizes, and the Library
     will be on-site signing children and families up for

    of Music,” featuring the Bibb County Honor Choir and

    OCMULGEE LANTERN LIGHT TOURS

    Date: March 22-24 and March 29-31

    Admission: $6 for ages 13 & up, $1 for ages 6-12,

    Grab a lantern and stroll along the luminary-
    lined path from the Visitor Center to the Great
    Temple Mound. Step back in time to meet
    characters with ties to Ocmulgee’s history and
    the people who once lived here. Join interpretive
    talks at the bridge, Earth Lodge, and Trading
    Post sites, and see downtown Macon illuminated
    at night from the top of the Great Temple
    Mound. End the tour by visiting the unique
    exhibits and artifacts inside the Visitor Center.
