At the turn of the year, we will all, I am sure, be reflecting on how challenging 2020 has
been. The Covid-19 pandemic has tested us in many ways. It has changed our home lives,
how we have interacted with family and friends and how we have worked. I bet most of us

But once again, the people of Stevenage have demonstrated real community spirit in
the way they have observed the social distancing rules and in the way that so many 15 Getting in touch

We are not quite out of the woods yet, but the vaccination programme gives us hope that
things can return to normal in 2021 which will hopefully be a better year. In the meantime,
please take time to reflect and be proud of your town and the way in which it has come
together as a community during this difficult time.
I think you should certainly applaud yourselves, your friends and your neighbours for your
spirited response during these past nine months.
Best wishes,

It’s safe to say that 2020 was a year unlike any other and brought
with it a unique set of challenges for all parts of our community.
