                      Safety in unity:
                      stronger together
Slowly but surely, life in our city is
marching back to normalcy – and it’s
our responsibility to ensure we take
                      the precautions that support our
                      government’s tireless efforts.

While you wear masks and practice
social distancing, we urge you to
                      remember the below guidelines.
                      1. Household staff must wear their
                         masks properly (covering their
nose and mouth) at all times in
                         the community.
                      2. Gathering of staff members from
                         different households in the
                         common areas is not permitted.
                      3. Social distancing of at least 3
metres must be adhered to at all
                         times in common areas.
                      4. Personal items like bicycles, shoes,
and strollers should not be left
                         outside the home.

To ensure a safe environment for
everyone, staff members found to be in
                      repeated violation of these guidelines
will be asked to leave the amenity.

                      got greener!
New trees have been planted all
                      throughout your community – and

palm ring lights, spike lights and even
                      new planter pots.

Did you know that in addition to the
                      obvious aesthetic benefits, trees also
offer shade for the lawn beneath? This
                      helps reduce irrigation demands,
                      helping conserve water.

The roots also provide stability for the
soil, protecting it during windy days.

                      Blankets in summer?
                      These pipes need
                      them!
With summer months on the way,
we’ve been working behind the scenes
to prepare your community for the
upcoming blaze – over 2,400 metres of
piping in your community has been
                      freshly insulated!

                      • The insulation comprises two layers:
a thick, foam-based inner layer helps
prevent heat from entering the pipes.

                      • The outer layer is made with a
combination of paper and foil – this
helps reflect heat and also provides
                        a seal against vapour loss.

                      • The insulation process have a
                        massive impact on maintenance
                        expenses, slashing costs and improving
efficiency by as much as 25%!

                      • Over time, the insulation naturally
wears down – re-insulation is usually
                        carried out every 3-6 years.

 What happens: What to do:

                      P-leash follow
                      this rule!
                      Your community loves pets. We
                      understand that they’re an important
member of your family. But when it
comes to walking them in the
community, we must insist on leashes.

Let’s tell you why a leash is important:

                      1. Consideration – Elderly residents,
                         young children, individuals with
                         allergies and others might be
                         intimidated by pets’ exploratory
                         behaviour.

                      2. Safety – Startled pets may suddenly
run onto roads without warning or
cross paths with cyclists, which is a
                         major safety hazard.

                      3. Health – Wandering pets might
nibble on landscaping – but a number
of plants native to the city are not
                         friendly to pets’ tummies.

                      4. It is the law – Walking a dog without
a leash is punishable with a fine of
AED 10,000. Fines can reach AED
100,000 if the pet is involved in
                         an attack.

               Q. One of the electrical outlets in my unit is not
working. How do I fix it?

               1. Check if it is connected to a wall switch that may have not been
                  turned on.

               2. Once this is determined, inspect the circuit
breakers and reset any that may have turned off.

               3. A blown fuse may have also disrupted power to
                  the outlet.

Do not attempt to insert any long artifacts into the
outlet – call a reliable electrician if you are unable to
               resolve the problem.
