CAR PARKING:"
Car parking for Glow in the Kazi open from 18:00"
Car parking for the Kamikaze open from 07:30 "
The entrance to the car park will be marshaled. Please ensure you follow the
marshals instructions promptly in order to minimize any queue forming at the narrow
entry / exit point to the car park!
You will be guided by signs and marshals to the car park area. Please don’t access
the farm buildings or surrounding area. !
Car park is on a grassy slope. Once you are parked, please make you way to race
registration.!

TIMINGS:"

19:30: Race registration opens. Limited entries will be taken on the day at normal fee
plus £2 !
20:30: Race start "
(Head torches are recommended to be worn during the Glow in the Kazi)."

08:30 Race registration opens. Limited entries will be taken on the day at normal fee

10:00 Wave 1 individuals. Full course 2 laps!

MANDATORY RACE BRIEFINGS FOR EACH WAVE ON THE START LINE 10
MINUTES BEFORE THE START"

REGISTRATION:"
Entrant field will be sorted in to surname alphabetic order and numbers then
assigned. Find your name and race number on the notice board then report your
race number to the registration staff.!
!
You will be issued with:"
Kamikaze number head band (to be worn on the front of your head) !
Any pre ordered Kamikaze merchandise (hoodies or t-shirts )!
!
Once you have registered, please feel free to browse the course map and inspect the
course. Please do not use any of the obstacles as they will not be marshaled until the
event starts.!
!
TEAMS:"
Any team of 3 that only has 2 people in attendance will be become two individuals.
Registration staff will sort out the administrative details at the event. Please inform
the 'Team' registration point if you are a team member short.!
!
TEAMS OF 3 MUST FINISH AS A TEAM OF 3 IN ORDER TO QUALIFY FOR
PLACING IN THE RESULTS."
If you do not finish as a team the last team members time will be used as the official
team time. Individual times for team members not finishing as a team of 3 will not be
processed.!
!

START:"
   • Please only start in the wave you registered for !
   • Start waves and times will be listed next to your name on the registration notice
      board !
   • You will be given a safety briefing on the start line, 5 minutes before you begin!
   • Announcements will be made on the PA system to call you to the start line !
   • The start signal will be a loud blast of the starters horn. Smoke and rockets are!
   used for effect. Out of bounds areas will be clearly marked please stay in the start
   area and listen in to the safety briefing!

RUN COURSE:"
A large map board will be displayed at registration giving details of the course. The
course is two laps of a very undulating nature. Each lap is approx 4 miles long. The
course is marked with orange and black arrows. Follow the direction the arrow points
in until you reach the next arrow.!
!
GLOW IN THE KAZI: (night run on the sat evening)!
For the glow in the Kazi night run the course will be marked by red and green led
flashing lights. Keep the red lights to your left and the green ones to your right.!
Main obstacle’s will be lite. All participants must wear a working head torch whilst
taking part.!
Bottle of wine for the 1st male , 1st female and 1st team!

FEED STATIONS:"
There will be one feed stations per lap, serving water and Gatorade.!
!
OBSTACLES:"
!
On each lap of the course you can expect to find the following... "
!
• Snakes wedding: An entanglement of rope to make your way though!
!
• Kamikaze slide: The now famous Votwo kamikaze slide, 10 meters of plastic and
washing up liquid down hill fun! Feet first please!
!
• Bog crossing: You will get muddy, very muddy !
!
• Rope climb: Hill side so steep it requires a helping rope to get up it !
!
• River Run: You will get wet, very wet. !
!

FINISH:"
If the obstacles and hills have not finished you off, then the ‘Wall’ is designed to do
the job. You only do the finishing straight obstacles once at the finish and not on each
lap.!
!
Well done! Once you have passed the finish flags it’s all over! Medals will be handed
out at the finish with products from sponsors Gatorade.!
!
EVENT CAFE:"
The Little Big Kitchen catering unit will be on-site selling coffees, teas, sausage and
bacon baps. !
!
SPECTATORS:"
Kamikaze Adventure running is a superb spectator sport! Watch your runner throw
themself down the Kamikaze Slide or battle with the Snakes Wedding! Votwo are
providing plenty of covered marquee areas in case of rain and first class catering. As
it’s a lapped course you will be able to see your runner more than once!!

PRIZE GIVING:"
This will be held at approx 12:00 in the race registration area."
Overall 1st place wins the prestigious, engraved votwo Kamikaze trophy and the
glory of being Kamikaze champion 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female overall win
votwo goodies and clothing. Team prizes for 1st team. Teams of 3 to count (must all
finish together).!

RESULTS:"
Full results will be displayed on www.votwoevents.co.uk after the event along with
a race report and photos. You will be emailed a link to the race report which has links
to the results and pictures.!

PHOTOS:"

SHOP:"
Absolute Running’s events shop, with products from Scott and other high quality
brands will be open.!

CAMPING:"
Camping is available. Tent pitches are only £10 per tent for Saturday night payable at
the registration marque on arrival. The Little Big Kitchen will be open on Saturday
evening supplying hot evening meals. Please email events@votwo.co.uk if you
wish to camp just to give an idea of numbers expected"

Kamikaze t-shirts and hoodies are available to buy online now at
www.votwoshop.co.uk (please collect them when you register on the day) They will
also be available to purchase at the event.!

MEDICAL:"
There will be a medic based at the finish area and a 4x4 medical response team half
way round the course If you become a minor casualty please report to the next

marshal staff who will call the medic. If you are a major casualty then make yourself
know to anyone to pass on your location / nature of injury to the next marshal who
will pass info on to next marshal. The medic will be called to you.!
