MAY LONG WEEKEND COURSES
Over a long weekend in May, University of Edinburgh Sport & Exercise provides a programme of weekend
courses at our outdoor activity centre at Firbush. With panoramic views of Loch Tay and the Ben Lawers
mountain range, Firbush is situated in six acres of woodland on the lochside and just 3 miles from the village
of Killin in Perthshire. With direct access to the loch and surrounding mountains, we offer the opportunity
to complete a variety of courses, as well as the opportunity to relax and unwind in this beautiful location.

RYA SAILING
Four days of dinghy sail coaching delivered by qualified and experienced instructors with access to wide
range of craft. This sailing course is aimed at the beginner through to intermediate sailor with the opportunity
to gain / improve racing experience. For those participants who wish, there will also be an opportunity to gain
relevant RYA qualifications. In addition there may be options to gain Keelboat experience.

FURTHER INFORMATION
EQUIPMENT
You do not need to bring any specific equipment as Firbush will provide everything required for the course.
However, if you have your own equipment you are welcome to bring it along and our instructors will check
for suitability on the arrival evening. Additionally wetsuits and buoyancy aids and will all be provided.
We advise to pack for a normal weekend ensuring that you have sufficient spare warm clothes allowing
for the unpredictable Scottish weather.
