THE FOUNDATION The main purpose of the Eric Abidal Foundation is
the financing and promotion of oncological research,
as well as the improvement of the conditions of
cancer patients and their families.
It also carries out projects to improve the living
conditions of young children, who are at risk of
social exclusion, developing projects that encourage
them to practice sport, more specifically football.
Using this sport in particular as a tool to improve
the physical and mental health of people, their
social integration and the diffusion of values.

attend this football camp.
Coaches spend an hour a day transmitting the
values mentioned. That´s what makes our
campus different from the rest.
The entire benefits made are used to finance
new projects of the Foundation.
ACCOMMODATION
The Masia Cal Riera is located in
Puig -Reig (Camí de Can Riera s/n
08692), south of the Berguedá
region, just over an hour of
Barcelona (Spain).

The professional team which handle the
training sessions and the daily campus
activities, are qualified coaches with

INFORMATION
Medical topics
It´s essential that the father, mother or guardian of the kid sends to the organization the paternal authorization document
signed before the start of the Campus.
All the participants should send before the Campus kick-off, a photocopy of the health card, a photocopy of the private
insurance card and a photocopy of the necessary medical documentation in special cases.
The organization has qualified staff to attend small incidents that may occur during training or while performing daily
activities (injuries, sprains, etc.). In case of a more serious incident, the child would be taken to the nearest hospital.
Schedule of arrival and departure
The parents or guardian must take the child to the Cal Riera Masia from 4 pm on the indicated day, where the Campus staff
will be waiting to welcome them.
Parents or guardian must pick up the child from the same place, the indicated day during 4 -4.30pm. If the person who picks
up the child is not the same as the one who left it the first day of the Campus, the organization must be notified through a
signed document authorizing another person to pick up the child.
Children without night stay, must be at the Masía Cal Riera by 9:00, and parents should pick them up at 21:00Food The diet is designed for children who will develop sports activities following the guidelines of a sports nutritionist. In this way, a complete and balanced weekly menu has been prepared to prepare children to carry out sports activities. Those children who have some food peculiarity (allergies, intolerances, etc.) should notify the Campus staff in order to adapt the menu to their needs. Its really important for kids to be hydrated during sports . For this reason, the staff will offer water to all participants during the training sessions. Transport The organization is responsible for the daily trips from La Masía Cal Riera to the Navàs football field. An additional bus service is offered for the Barcelona - Puig Reig route , departing from Barcelona (El Prat Airport and another point in Barcelona city to be specified). The extra cost for this service is 15 euros per child. Activities Different types of games and daily activities will be carried out to promote the integration and respect of children with the rest of the classmates and the environment specially: popular, traditional and cooperative games. Campus staff will work as well on the development of socio-affective and cognitive skills There will be field journeys taking advantage of the natural environment that surrounds the Masia and the use of the swimming pool.
Language The philosophy of the Eric Abidal Foundation Campus gives a great importance to language learning. For this reason, the professionals who are part of the staff, will be bilingual. During the training sessions, Spanish, English and French will be used as languages. In addition, activities and workshops will be held in a 4 hour per week sessions, in order to teach the children the language they´ve chosen. Work with values What distinguish the Eric Abidal Foundation Campus is the way values are transmittied and how children work with them in the field. For this reason every day, before dinner, there will be a participatory audiovisual workshop where the objectives, skills, contents and essentially all the values of the sessions held during the day, will be worked on. Interview with Eric Abidal One of the most outstanding activities of the Campus is the open interview to be held with Eric Abidal, in which children can participate actively and dynamically by asking questions and transmitting their concerns.
