The Hero Experiences Group has been approved by Bureau Veritas, the independent global leader in
inspecting and certifying companies’ quality, health and safety, environmental protection and social responsibility.
Our Desert Safaris, Hot Air Balloon and Self-drive Boat tour companies are the first worldwide of their kind
to have secured the SafeGuardTM Hygiene Excellence and Safety Label. This means that our protocols are
compliant with local regulations, recognized industry best practices, and approved by leading epidemiologists.
WORLD TRAVEL AND TOURISM COUNCIL’S SAFE TRAVELS
Our protocols are approved by the World Travel and Tourism Council’s ‘Safe Travels’: Global
Protocols & Stamp for the New Normal. These regulations are developed and updated according to
the World Health Organization (WHO) and CDC guidelines.
As a group of companies we have also implemented further protocols to ensure that we:

During all our Desert Safaris, our Conservation Guides share insightful information about Dubai
and take our guests on a journey into the rich culture of its people and share stories and facts about
the native fauna and flora of the UAE. During our wildlife drives, our Guests learn about native
animals like the Arabian oryx and discover interesting facts about the desert flora like how the fire
bush and miswak were used traditionally for the survival of the desert nomads, The Bedouin.Our Group Awards

WHAT TIME WILL I BE PICKED UP FOR MY DESERT SAFARI?
We never want our guests to be sitting for long periods in the lobby of their hotel, instead we
prefer to give a precise pick-up time. At the time of booking, you will have a 1-hour range to help
you plan your day. On the day of your safari we will phone you at your Hotel room and advise you
of the exact pickup time. If you are not in the room, we will leave a message with the Concierge.
Please phone +971 4 440 9827 if you have not received a message by 1pm on the day of your
tour or 5pm the day before your morning tour.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
The weather in the desert is very different to the city. During the day, loose fitting clothing
and shoes that can be easily removed are best. May-October: Loose clothing, shorts, t-shirts.
November–April: Dress in layers as it cools down after the sun sets especially between December-
February. Jeans, closed shoes, shirts, cardigans or even a jacket may be required on cooler nights.
WHY AM I BEING ASKED TO BOOK A PRIVATE CAR FOR KIDS UNDER 5?
There are numerous reasons why a private vehicle is required for a child (1-5 years old) including:
* Your child’s safety is our top priority so the drive will be toned down to
accommodate a younger child. If you are sharing with others, they may not
appreciate this.
* It is mandatory by law that youngsters are placed in a car seat.This would
remove the chance of seat rotation which would not be fair for everyone.
* Youngsters can get scared, sick or even cry. In this case, the drive would be
cut short. If this was the case, the other people you are sharing with would be
rightfully entitled to compensation.

between 1 and 4 years old will require a private vehicle.
* We cater for vegetarian and vegans. Please inform us at the time of booking.

* Each desert safari operates with a minimum of 2 guests with the exception of
private bookings.
* Please inform us at the time of booking if you or anyone in your party are pregnant.
* Camel rides are not suitable for pregnant women and children under 5 years
