                NRP Public Consultation
More than 200 residents of Block 242 to 247 and 253 to 256 Simei Street 5 & 1 was invited to view the Neighbourhood
Renewal Programme (NRP) Public Consultation and Exhibition on 8 July 2017 at the void deck of Block 245 and
253 Simei Street 5 & 1 respectively. The exhibition showcased the proposed improvement works to be made in
their precinct. Based on the NRP theme of ‘vibrant community living’, residents can expect better connectivity
and accessibility within the precinct with more covered linkways and drop-off porches. Residents can also expect
a variety of communal and sports facilities that will foster closer social integration and community bonding while
supporting a healthy lifestyle. Residents also gave their feedback in a dialogue session with Member of Parliament
Ms Jessica Tan. The next phase - the consensus gathering - will showcase the revised plans after considering the
    feedback of the residents.

Keep Clean Singapore &
        Cleaners’ Appreciation Day

It was an early day for some 120 residents and students of Changkat Changi Secondary
School on 22 July 2017. They gathered together to celebrate Cleaners’ Appreciation
Day with a clean-up exercise. Armed with gloves and tongs, Member of Parliament
Ms Jessica Tan and participants walked around the neighbourhood to pick up litter
which was separated into normal waste and recyclables.

Meanwhile, our cleaners were given a day off where they were treated to breakfast
in Changi Simei CC and had a photobooth set up for them to take memorable shots.
After the clean-up event, an award ceremony took place where both Members of
Parliament Ms Jessica Tan and Ms Cheryl Chan gave out awards for the Best Worker,
Happy Toilet Award as well as appreciation gifts for all workers.

     Total Clean Up Collection:

                     Litter - 89.2kg Recyclables - 33.9kg Total: 123.1kg
