More than 200 residents of Block 242 to 247 and 253 to 256 Simei Street 5 & 1 was invited to view the Neighbourhood
Renewal Programme (NRP) Public Consultation and Exhibition on 8 July 2017 at the void deck of Block 245 and
253 Simei Street 5 & 1 respectively. The exhibition showcased the proposed improvement works to be made in
their precinct. Based on the NRP theme of ‘vibrant community living’, residents can expect better connectivity
and accessibility within the precinct with more covered linkways and drop-off porches. Residents can also expect
a variety of communal and sports facilities that will foster closer social integration and community bonding while
supporting a healthy lifestyle. Residents also gave their feedback in a dialogue session with Member of Parliament
Ms Jessica Tan. The next phase - the consensus gathering - will showcase the revised plans after considering the
feedback of the residents.
