Visit of the Ancient Rooms in the Gambalunga Library
Last Saturday of each month, except in November 2020
Discovering the historical heritage of the Gambalunga Civic Library
The Gambalunga Library, every last Saturday of the month and upon reservation, offers the opportunity to visit the
Ancient Halls in the seventeenth century Palazzo Gambalunga, where it is possible to admire the most prestigious
volumes and precious furnishings.
Founded by the jurisconsult Alessandro Gambalunga, who prepared the legacy of his "library" to the Municipality
of Rimini in his will.
His archive consisted of 1438 volumes, about 2,000 printed works, with prestigious covers bearing the emblem of
the family and the name of the patron.
The library, opened in 1619, qualified as public, is the first civic library in Italy.
In the seventeenth and eighteenth century rooms you can discover treasures of refined elegance and of historical
and cultural interest.

Amarcort Film Festival online edition
from 24 November to 13 December 2020
13th edition of Rimini international short film festival
Thirteenth edition of Amarcort Film Festival, dedicated to short films and in honour of Federico Fellini. Because
of the health emergency situation, it will take place entirely online on the website www.amarcort.it.
For the occasion, a Committee has been set up with the participation of important personalities from the cinema
and the cultural world such as: the directors Gianfranco Angelucci and Alessandro Benvenuti, the playwright and
director Ugo Chiti, the director and granddaughter of Fellini Francesca Fabbri Fellini, the mayor of Rimini Andrea
Gnassi, the film critic Maurizio Porro, the director and film critic Mario Sesti, the international star Donald
Sutherland and the actress Milena Vukotic.
Three will be the weeks dedicated to the festival. From 24 to 29 November, shorts by schools with the greeting
of the Minister of Education Lucia Azzolina.
During the first week the traditional pre-festival appointment with “Around the world in 80 shorts” will not be
missing. On Wednesday 25 November from 9.00 pm the best 10 short films, not selected as finalists at Amarcort
2020, will be screened and voted once again by the public. The first classified of the evening has the chance to
become a finalist in Amarcort 2020, while the second classified becomes a finalist in "Around the world in 80
shorts".
From 1 to 6 December: the real competition begins with the screening of finalist films included in several
categories and appointments with experts touching important issues in this period of pandemic.
The third week, from 8 to 13 December, proposes other sections in competition and a special selection of short
films made by the students of the USC School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles.
This year Amarcort could not fail to celebrate a great anniversary connecting Rimini and the world: the birth
centenary of Federico Fellini to whom this festival is inspired. The main event will be on Saturday 12
December with a set at the Grand Hotel which will host live shows with prestigious guests. But the Festival also
pays homage to another great personality in the Romagna territory: Tonino Guerra. The documentary
“Buongiorno, tira il vento" ("Good morning, the wind blows") by Mikheil Mrevlishvili will be screened on the same
day, followed by a talk-show on the latest short film "La Fellinette" with the participation of Francesca Fabbri Fellini
and Milena Vukotic, Sergio Bustric, Ivano Marescotti.
Saturday 12 December is also the day of the awards ceremony for "A Fellinian in the world" which this year will go
to the great illustrator and cartoonist Milo Manara who illustrated Fellini's screenplays "Journey to Tulum" and
"The journey of G. Mastorna", as well as the poster of “La Voce della Luna”, to which Amarcort Film Festival is
dedicated this year. For the occasion, Milo Manara will be interviewed by Vincenzo Mollica.

Symphony concerts and collateral projects
***Following the Prime Minister's Decree of 3 November 2020, all the performances and meetings on
schedule are SUSPENDED***

Since 1950, the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana has brought the most popular international conductors, soloists and
orchestras to Rimini, for this prestigious cultural events, one of the most long-standing in Italy. Apart from
symphony concerts, in the last years, the event has expanded with different collateral projects, where music
meets the other arts. From the end of the summer, the new Galli Theatre starts its excellent music season, with
the Sagra Musicale Malatestiana ending with chamber music.
To open the Malatesta Music Festival, Cecilia Bartoli, world star of bel canto (16 September), followed by Valery
Gergiev (19 September), with his orchestra, in a program dedicated to the symphonies of Mendelssohn and
Prokof’ev. And again Riccardo Muti, on the podium of the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra (24 November). The
cycle of symphonic concerts ends with the Filarmonica della Scala entrusted to the baton of Fabio
Luisi (November 30) with Alessandro Taverna soloist at the piano, in a program entirely dedicated to Ludwig
van Beethoven.
Two acclaimed virtuosos of the bow, the violinist Giuliano Carmignola and the cellist Mario Brunello, inaugurate
(October 6) the cycle dedicated to chamber music proposed by the Malatesta Music Festival. The soloists of the
Quartetto della Scala (18 October) and the musicians of the WunderKammerOrchestra conducted by Carlo
Tenan (28 October) will return to the Galli Theater. Beethoven again in the program proposed by the acclaimed
pianist Alexander Romanowski (November 19).
For eighteenth-century chamber music, Arianna Lanci (23 September) with the soloists of the Ensemble
Locatelli, the concert of the organist Andrea Macinanti (1 October), the voice of soprano Laura Catrani (13
November) with a concert dedicated to the harpsichordist Maria Teresa Agnesi and Princess Maria Antonia
Walpurgis.
To enrich the calendar of events, the presence of the Fellini 100 - Maratona Galli festival, with the concert of the
Ensemble Le Muse (31 October) conducted by saxophonist Federico Moldelci in homage to the music of Nino
Rota. Dedicated to the Rimini composer Amintore Galli is the concert marathon on November 15.
To explore Amintore Galli as musician and theorist, there will be a round table on November 14th at the Galli
Theater, with Donata Bertoldi, Paolo Patrizi, Gianandrea Polazzi and Annarosa Vannoni.

E 'bal - Romagna stages for contemporary dance - 2020 Theater Season of the Galli Theater
The E ’bal review continues with the third appointment at the Galli Theater, starring Cristina Kristal Rizzo in
TOCCARE (TOUCH) The White Dance, together with other interpreters of contemporary dance, including
Annamaria Ajmone.
The show is a performance-concert where the bodies become musical scores that come to life on Rameau's
pieces. Taken from Les Pièces de clavecin, the pieces of the French musician are entirely edited here with
adaptation, musical direction and harpsichord by Ruggero Laganà.

The gymnastic festival

Competitive event of gymnastics at the Rimini Fair
“Ginnastica in Festa” is a sporting event of the FGI, the Gymnastic Federation of Italy, organized by Esatour
Sport Events and ASD Pesaro Gym.
Also this year, after the success of the 2019 edition, the pavilions of the Rimini Fair will host the sporting event
with many protagonists of international competitions.
This year the event is not open to the public and no commercial village is set up, in compliance with the recent
Prime Ministerial Decree.
Access is allowed only to FGI card holders, with the obligation to respect the distance, to register, to wear a mask
and to measure the body temperature.

The Teatro la Ribalta-Kunst der Vielfalt is inspired by and reinterprets a traditional fairy tale for its latest dance-
theater creation entitled 'A peep show for Cinderella', two daily performances for 14 spectators per performance.
Through individual booths from which viewers observe the narration that comes to life beyond the glass, the work
of Antonio Viganò and Paola Guerra confronts the themes of desire, appearance and beauty, bringing to the
stage actors and actresses with discomfort psychic or disability that underline how each body is the bearer of a
special and unique beauty.

Fellini 100: A one-year-long birthday (1920 -2020)
The whole year 2020 compatibly with the evolution of the health situation and with any new government decrees
Rimini celebrates Fellini's 100th birth anniversary
Started on 14 December 2019 with the inauguration of 'Fellini 100 Immortal Genius. The exhibition', on show in
Castel Sismondo, and culminated in the week from 17th to 31st January with the Maestro's Birthday, the

celebrations in honor of the great film director have continued with a program of appointments and
events developping throughout 2020. Among the various summer events, worthy of mention is the Festival held at
the Corte degli Agostiniani, between July and August, with 8 films in their version restored for the centenary. In
autumn the initiatives carried on with the second edition of 'La Settima Arte - Cinema e Industria', the Rimini Film
Festival (10 - 11 October).
But the centenary celebrations inevitably has to deal with the current health emergency and with the new
government measures regarding the protection of public health, which forced to cancel many appointments on the
calendar, starting from the scheduled night at the Galli theater with a concert dedicated to the melodies of Nino
Rota to pay homage to the Master's visionary art on Saturday 31st October (on the occasion of his 27th death
anniversary).
Many of the appointments will be recovered if and when possible and the celebrations will end with the
inauguration of the Fellini international Museum.
Meanwhile Castel Sismondo virtually opens its doors for a video walk inside the exhibition 'Fellini 100. Immortal
genius' to allow the public to visit its rooms, even after closing.

Madonna Diotallevi by Raffaello Sanzio on show in Rimini - SUSPENDED

Exhibition by Raffaello Sanzio
Following the Prime Minister's Decree of 3 November 2020 for the containment of the epidemiological
emergency from COVID-19, exhibitions at the City Musuem are suspended from 6 November until 3
December 2020.

On the occasion of the 500th anniversary of Raffaello Sanzio's death, the City Museum opens an exhibit
dedicated to the artist, with the “Madonna Diotallevi”, one of the most important early paintings of the Painter
from Urbino. The exhibit will give an insight on the last owner of this painting, before it was transferred to the
Berlin museum, Rimini citizen Audiface Diotallevi, Standard Bearer of the city and patron of architect Luigi Poletti
for the Galli Theatre.

The exhibition also offers a precious opportunity to discover the fate of the several paintings of the Diotallevi
collection, which have landed today in the major international museums.
In the City Museum in Rimini it is also possible to admire the pictorial panels of the fourteenth century Rimini
school, such as the Crucifix by Giovanni da Rimini and the Coronation of the Virgin by Giuliano da Rimini.

Two temporary exhibitions on the occasion of the opening of the PART of Rimini
Starting from 24 September 2020, two temporary exhibitions will take place alongside the opening of the Part,
Palazzi dell’Arte, in Rimini, in the central Piazza Cavour. The new museum site that brings together in a single
project the redevelopment of the historic Palazzi dell'Arengo and del Podestà, where the contemporary art
collection of the San Patrignano Foundation is exhibited.
The first ehibition located in space1, on the first floor of the Palazzo del Podestà, is called [APARTE] 'Convivium',
with the works of Francesco Bocchini, Vittorio D'Augusta, Luca Giovagnoli, Marco Neri, Nicola Samorì. The
second exhibition is set up in space2, on the second floor, and collects recent works by Denis Riva, with the title
'Magna Carta', curated by Massimo Pulini. The artists have joined an exhibition whose common thread is the
relationship between human and art, each with its own character and artistic imprint such as: Francesco Bocchini,
Vittorio D'Augusta, Luca Giovagnoli, Marco Neri, Nicola Samorì

BEER & FOOD ATTRACTION 'doubles': live from 11 to 13 April 2021 in the pavilions of the Rimini Fair and with
the digital agenda, from 14 to 15 April 2021. The international fair is dedicated to beer specialties, craft beers and
to food for the Horeca channel, and is addressed to all professional operators in the sector.

The entire beer supply chain is represented at BEER ATTRACTION, alongside FOOD ATTRACTION, the section
entirely dedicated to food, created in collaboration with the FIC - Italian Federation of Chefs.

It is a business event with an original and innovative format that combines beer specialties with food specialties
made in Italy - and not only.

At the same time, BBTECH EXPO, the professional fair of technologies for beers and beverages and the
International Horeca Meeting, with the news of the 2021 summer season.

In this way, all sectors of the food & beverage chain are present, from leading brands to craft breweries, creating
a precious opportunity for sector operators to meet, discuss, communicate their knowledge and experiences in the
new Beer Craft Arena space dedicated to beverage.

Prose, music and dance
The 2020 Prose Season is scheduled, with 24 evenings of shows between the Galli Theater and the Teatro degli
Atti, in the name of contemporary dance, monologues, comedy, music and operetta.
Great names of performers and directors on stage.
The bill includes three shows from the 'E ’bal. Romagna stages for contemporary dance'. Protagonists of this
section Paola Bianchi and Simona Bertozzi, Cristina Kristal Rizzo together with other interpreters of contemporary
dance, including Annamaria Ajmone.
The contemporary is present with two other appointments, with the Rimini company 'quotidianacom' by Paola
Vannoni and Roberto Scappin and the 'Teatro la Ribalta-Kunst der Vielfalt'.
Space also for the theater of speech with three different proposals by: Ivano Marescotti, Roberto Mercadini,
Federico Buffa.
The tribute to Federico Fellini, in the year of his birth centenary, is proposed with Valter Malosti and the Artemis
Danza company by Monica Casadei.
The program is completed by a double appointment with comedy, Maria Amelia Monti returns to Rimini together
with Roberto Turchetta, and with the music of the Orchestra di Piazza di Vittorio (OPV).

The events will take place compatibly with the evolution of the health emergency and with any new
decree. According to the Prime Minister's Decree of 24 October and 3 November 2020, the theatre
performances and meetings scheduled at the Galli Theater, the Teatro degli Atti and the Novelli Theater
are SUSPENDED from 26 October to 3 December 2020. The cancellation and refund procedures will be
communicated on the reference site.

Sintonie High End, the main event in Italy dedicated to the best of high fidelity, video, consumer electronics and
car audio, scheduled at the Palacongressi in Rimini, is postponed to spring 2021.
The event aims to update experts, audiophiles, but also common "tourists of video and listening" on the most
important news from the world of home entertainment.
As with other events, Sintonie High End, for a sense of responsibility due to the spread of Covid-19 in Italy and in
the rest of the world, has chosen to postpone the 23rd edition of the fair event.

93rd Alpine National Muster in Rimini

The first time of the Penne Nere ('black feathers') in Rimini, on the centenary of the national gathering
The 'Black feathers' (this is how the Italian mountain troops are nicknamed) arrive for the first time on the
Riviera.
It will be a special edition because 100 years have passed since the first spontaneous meeting of the Alpine
troops.
A record participation is expected. The 2020 gathering will in fact be the first in Italy and abroad, involving the

territory including San Marino and it is estimated that around 500 thousand people will partecipate. The highlight
will be the great parade with one hundred thousand 'Black feathers', among the approximately 350 thousand
registered in the Ana, divided into 110 sections, 80 in Italy and 30 abroad.
Among them there will also be 4,500 members of the Bolognese-Romagna section of the Ana "Angelo Manaresi",
chaired by Vittorio Costa, who also includes citizens from the Republic of San Marino.

The gathering, at first scheduled from 7 to 10 May in Rimini, has been postponed to May to cope with
coronavirus emergency.
