EVENTS VENUES ROUND
Introduced in 2018, these events pitch market-leading lenders against one another to
establish who brings you what you really need.
Over the past decade, the mortgage world has changed significantly and the standard
service provision that was available to brokers in the first decade of the century has had to
adapt to changed demand from not only the client, but also that of the mortgage broker.
With a raft of lenders available, it can be difficult to stay on top of all the change and
innovation from each lender – and with that in mind, we bring the three key sectors in our
industry together to detail the ways in which they are able to support you and your clients.
Pitched as The Battle of the Brands, we are not expecting the relevant representative to
come to blows whilst they battle for your favour, but instead go toe-to-toe to discuss what
the benefits are to you in dealing specifically with their sector and, in particular, their firm.
We expect you to learn a considerable amount about these brands during the day and, for a
bit of fun, we will ask you to take part in a vote to offer your opinion regarding who you felt
won the battle of hearts and minds at your event.
All attendee feedback will be collated and the overall ‘winner’ will be announced at the end
of the round.
So who will your winner be – the banks, the building societies or the centralised lenders?

Whether you are already operating fully in the world of protection, or want to find out more

of sessions that look certain to deliver a relevant and engaging day.
Protection is often referred to as the cornerstone of financial planning, and as an adviser
you are aware that its core aims are to ensure your client, their family and their assets are
adequately covered – providing them with piece of mind when they need it most.
However, the protection market is vibrant and thriving, and the ways in which you can meet
your clients’ needs are constantly evolving. The Protection Events, hosted in a popular
roundtable format, offer the opportunity to really get under the skin of the latest products
and developments and engage with some of the leading providers in the market and the
SimplyBiz Mortgages team.
The events tackle everything from complex subjects such as IHT planning, through to the
new breed of products that are no longer just about financial support after the loss of a
loved one, helping to enable your clients to keep fit, healthy, and lead highly fulfilling lives.
We will also share ideas around how you can grow your protection business, where you can
find additional support in placing complex cases, training, and how we and our website can

big issues shaping our industry and is broadcast straight to your laptop, phone or any other

views and insight.
We broadcast three distinct type of show, each designed to cover different aspects of the
advice landscape.
ADVICE SHOW: BITE SIZE
To complement our main programme, and to ensure you are always right up to date with
the latest goings on, we will bring you Advice Show Bite Size – a two hour special which

We understand that, for events to be truly beneficial to our
Member and Client Firms, they have to act as more than just
a CPD box-ticking exercise.
That’s why, before you see a single session at any of our events, we undertake months of
work in advance, analysing your feedback from previous rounds and building an agenda
which we feel will best deliver the information relevant to your business, in the most
interesting and engaging way possible. We then work alongside our partners to design the
content and flow of each session and interact with key people from within The SimplyBiz
Group to ensure a range of specialist perspectives on the day.
Whilst we have an events team which is solely dedicated to ensuring that your experience
as an attendee at any one of our meetings is satisfactory, dozens of the Group team are
involved at some level in maintaining the relevance, technical accuracy and high quality of
our events programme.
The majority of our events qualify for structured CPD, with the others providing the
opportunity to build up your unstructured hours. When structured CPD is available, we
ensure that learning objectives and a set of questions to demonstrate your understanding
of the areas covered are provided, giving you the means to easily track and evidence your
structured learning.
