                            C. Brooke Silber, LC, IES, LEED AP, Senior Associate,
Lighting Studio Director Lighting, BR+A Consulting Engineers

Wellness and health are a growing focus of the lighting design field, as
amply reflected in buzzwords such as “circadian lighting,” “biologically
effective lighting” and “human-centric lighting.” Humans have a
strong affinity for the environment rooted in our evolution, yet being C. Brooke Silber
bombarded with technology and media can produce a diminished
connection to that environment. How can we use lighting to help us reconnect with nature and
bring about healthier living? Whether in public spaces or in our own backyards, on sidewalks,
exercise paths or elsewhere, lighting shapes our relationship to our surroundings and our sense
of well-being. Brooke will discuss a range of projects and research, and share experiences,
knowledge and inspirations about making lighting an integral part of healthy lifestyles.

landscape lighting into various smart home systems, regardless of brand
                            or protocols.

Tom Grandy, Founder, Grandy & Associates

Did you ever wonder why some companies seem to grow and prosper
while others work just as hard but seem to not be going anywhere?
Well here is your chance to find out why! This session will review 15
things that all successful companies have in common. See how you are
doing and come away with ideas to improve the profitability of your
company. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to begin to put together Tom Grandy
a game plan for PROFITABLE growth.

10:30 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. Break

10:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. The Price is Right… Or is It?
Tom Grandy, Founder, Grandy & Associates

Improper labor pricing is the #1 killer of small businesses today. This session will cover all
                            the basics of profitable labor pricing. Most companies are aware of the basic overhead costs;
however, the two HIGHEST costs of doing business (cost of non-billable time and equipment
replacement costs) are often left out. Remember, if you are not priced right, nothing else matters.

12:15 p.m. – 1:45 p.m. Annual Membership Meeting and Luncheon

1:45 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. Allied Professional Panel
