The FEI promotes equestrianism in all its forms and encourages the development
of the FEI equestrian disciplines throughout the world, keeping the welfare of the
horse at the heart of all its activities.
Equestrian is one of the only sports where men and women compete on equal
terms in true partnership with an animal. Today, there are over 90,000 riders and
horses registered for competing at international level, with millions registered
nationally with the 133 National Federations affiliated to the FEI.

The Series
The Furusiyya FEI Nations Cup™ Jumping series is equestrian’s oldest and most prestigious
team challenge, with national teams from around the globe competing in the Olympic
discipline of Jumping for one of the coveted prizes in this discipline.
As its name indicates, this flagship series embraces the idea of horsemanship, chivalry
and equestrian knowledge; it aims to unite nations and foster lifelong enthusiasm for the
universe of horses. The recently introduced fresh competition format of the Furusiyya FEI
Nations Cup™ Jumping series has encouraged even more countries than ever to compete
in the most traditional of all the FEI competition circuit.
Since 2013 the annual outdoor series is run in a reviewed and exciting new format, allowing
even more nations and countries host competitions and to win the title. The participating
teams will acquire points at each qualifying leg according to their placing to qualify for
the thrilling Final. Top nations will face each other at selected world class venues across
different continents.

The Games:
Awarded by the FEI every four years alternating with the Summer Olympic Games, the
FEI World Equestrian Games™ are the true World Championships of Equestrianism. They
comprise all seven FEI disciplines: Jumping, Dressage & Para-Dressage, Eventing, Driving &
Para-Driving, Endurance, Reining and Vaulting.
The Games, which showcase the world’s most exceptional athletes, attract more than
500,000 on-site spectators as well as half a billion TV viewersand significant global
media coverage.
Although the concept of the FEI World Equestrian Games™ is still relatively new, it is enjoying
rapidly growing success throughout the globe.
In 2018, the Games will continue their role in harnessing the immense interest in all equestrian
sports worldwide. After the success of the 2014 Games, which were held in Caen, Normandy
(FRA), the FEI World Equestrian Games™ will heading to Canada from 12 to 26 August 2018
for their eighth edition and to one of the most scenic and inspiring equestrian areas of the
world, Bromont/Montreal in Canada.

within the equestrian community at a glittering gala evening.
Five prestigious awards, the FEI President Ingmar De Vos, Olympic medallists and FEI Champions,
professional Master of Ceremonies, black ties for men and the attending women in gowns
designed by leading celebrity-dresser and fashion designers combined with red-carpet treatment
for the winners who fly in from all different continents of the world to be there. These glimpses
of the global equestrian gathering show a never-seen-before side of the sport.
The FEI highlights programme summarizes the glittering gala evening but also emphasizes on
