A uction R ules Silent Auction Bidding An auction participant will place a bid using the bid stickers provided. The person with the highest bid at the time of closing will be considered the winner. Stickers placed after the closing of the silent auction will be considered null and void. Once the sticker is placed on a bid sheet it cannot be removed for any reason. All items are offered “AS IS.” The event organization shall not be responsible for the accuracy of descriptions, genuineness, authorship or condition of items. You MAY NOT pay for OR take possession of an item you did not win. Once an item is paid for and is in your possession, the organization is no longer responsible if it lost, stolen or broken. Items, including gift certificates, may not be redeemed for cash and expiration dates may not be extended. Note that goods, services and travel packages have various expiration dates specified by the donor and are subject to availability. Most travel packages have blackout dates specified by the donor. Air transportation IS NOT included in a trip package unless specified. Live Auction Bidding The live auction will take place on stage or a designated area at a specified time. A bid acknowledged by the auctioneer is a legal contract to purchase the item. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer or official staff shall be the purchaser. Every effort will be made to identify and recognize all bids, but it is your responsibility as a bidder to make your bid known. In the event of a question as to the validity of any bid, the event staff will have final discretion to either determine the successful bidder, or to re-offer the item for the auction. A minimum raise required of at least $100 higher than the existing bid for all live bidding. The auctioneer, at his sole discretion, can alter raises for any item. Cashiering Check Out All cashiering for silent and live items will be conducted at your dinner tables approximately 30 minutes after the close of the live auction. We accept cash, checks, American Express, Visa, or Mastercard, for your purchases. If you need to leave prior to invoices being completed and you have registered your card with AuctionPay your items will be sent to you. If you need to arrange payment post event, please call the non profit. Suggested Retail Value For Travel & Hotel Accommodations American Airlines: The maximum one-way rates are used for the 48 states (Y26), Hawaii (Y26), Canada (Y26), Caribbean (Y26), Mexico (Y26) and South America (YX). Tariff rates are utilized for Europe and Central America. Other Airlines: Tariff rates are utilized. One-way fares are utilized if two different cities are featured on the departing and returning flights. Hotels and Tours: Rack rate plus sales tax. Cruises: Brochure rate for the cabin plus airfare add-ons offered by the cruise line in the brochure. Ground Transportation: Unless specifically stated otherwise, no ground transportation is included in any package. The

Rates are based on the high season that the gift certificate is eligible for redemption. Guaranteed Maximum Purchase Price Some silent items offer a guaranteed maximum purchase price. Bidding will stop once the guaranteed maximum is met. Some selected silent items offer multiple items at an established price for purchases (no incremental bidding.) Premium Silent Auction There is no bidding on premium silent auction items since an established price will be charged. Multiple items are available for these select items. Tax Deductibility According to IRS Rules and Regulations, the only tax deduction for the purchase of auction items from non-profit organizations is the amount paid in excess of fair market value. We suggest that you contact your tax professional to determine the tax deductions (if any) for your specific purchase(s). Bid By Proxy Bid by Proxy will take place with the participant completely filling out the Bid by Proxy form on the event auction website. Incomplete and/or illegible forms will be considered null and void. A representative will place the proxy amount at the start of the auction unless it is for the Guaranteed Maximum Purchase Price. If the bid is for a Guaranteed Maximum Purchase item, the bid will be placed 30 minutes after the start of the auction provided that the item has not been purchased by another attendee at the event. The delay of placing the proxy bid provides attending guests an opportunity to bid on all auction items. Airfare Upgrades The airfare upgrade in the program is based on a two-category plane (coach class and first class). If a plane with three categories (coach, business and first class) is utilized for the flight, the upgrade will be to the next highest level of service. Bidding Disclosure Suggested retail values are only a guide. There are no minimum bids required to purchase any items other than the minimum raises in the silent auction, and the established prices for items in the Multiple Silent Auction and Premium Silent Auction sections. Participants at the event will determine the real value of each item through the bidding. All sales are final and there will be no exchanges, refunds or substitutions Booking Trips The Gavel Group offers a Concierge Travel department to handle the booking of your entire trip for a fee (if desired). Nestled in the canyons and arroyos along the Northern slopes of the Santa Monica Mountains, Braemar Country Club offers an oasis of peace away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Braemar Country Club boasts two beautiful and interesting 18 hole golf courses. The East Course in front of the Club- house at 6,061 yards and the Guldhal (West) Course at 5,839 yards. These yardages do not give any indication of the chal- lenge both courses offer. 302. The 18-hole “Brentwood” course at the Brentwood Country Club of Los Angeles facility in Los Angeles, California features 6,734 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72 . The course rating is 72.3 and it has a slope rating of 124 on Kikuyu grass. Designed by Max H. Behr/(R) John F. Harbottle, ASGCA, the Brentwood golf course opened in 1948. Donated by Ed Victor (an Overland grandfather) 303. El Rio Country Club (Mohave Valley) Suggested Retail Value: $120 Enjoy one round of golf, including practice balls and golf cart. Valid through December 31, 2010. El Rio Golf Club is an upscale, daily fee 18-hole championship golf course located in Mohave Valley, Arizona. Mohave Valley is just a 30 minute drive from the casinos in Laughlin, Nevada. The course is designed by Matt Dye, who is one of the best new generation golf course architects. The nephew of famed golf course designer Pete Dye, Matt Dye has an extensive background in golf course architecture and a flair for design that runs in the family! El Rio is highlighted by sce- nic views of the surrounding mountains, gentle rolling and forgiving fairways, undulating greens, and four holes with water features. Subject to a mutually agreed upon date and time. The Riviera Country Club’s internationally renowned golf course was established in 1926 and has been open for play since 1927. Noted for its spectacular beauty and uniquely challenging design, the George C. Thomas masterpiece is perennially rated among the very finest in the world The course is consistently maintained to the standard set by club founder Frank Garbutt, who declared, “Only the best is good enough.” While maintaining a strict adherence to tradition, Riviera attracts and caters to the most discerning national and international guests. Its elegance and charm make the club an ideal place for sporting and social engagements. Donated by Paul Markiles. 305. Rustic Canyon Golf Course (Moorpark) Suggested Retail Value: $100 Enjoy a Monday-Thursday golf twosome including cart. Valid through March 13, 2011. Situated in a valley northwest of Los Angeles, California, Rustic Canyon is a traditional links style course. This track was designed by architect Gil Hanse, and opened for play in 2002. The layout is open with no trees lining the rolling fairways. As such, the wind will factory greatly in play. The highlight of this course however, are the expansive, lightning fast greens which are surrounded by generous, puttable aprons, making Rustic Canyon a true “putter’s course.” The course plays from 5,273 to 6,906-yards, and there are four sets of tees to challenge all handicaps. 306. Upland Hills Country Club (Upland) Suggested Retail Value: $188 Enjoy a golf foursome including carts. This championship course was designed by golf course architect David Rainville who also redesigned Torrey Pines. David, while in partnership with professional golfer Billy Casper, completely remodeled Torrey Pines Golf Course in San Diego, a major PGA tournament site, and has created a number of designs or remodels that have been used for regional tourna- ments as well as qualifying courses for national events. Forty miles from downtown Los Angeles, Upland Hills features large greens and exceptional mountain views. The course is extremely well-maintained with beautiful greens. A ride on Verde Canyon Railroad’s historic route from Clarkdale to the ghost ranch of Perkinsville and back into Arizona’s other grand canyon is an unforgettable experience. Home to America’s national symbol, the majestic bald eagle, Verde Canyon is accessible only by rail. The historic route is nestled between two national forests and adjacent to a designated wilderness area. This unique geological wonderland features rugged, high desert rock faces and spectacular panoramic views.
