This list is not exhaustive and there may be other English Universities that also offer sport scholarship and academic flexibility opportunities.
SPORT SCHOLARSHIP WEBSITE
There are other university options, such as the Open University, that provide academic flexibility but have no specific sport scholarship opportunities.
SPORT SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA The criteria for receiving sport scholarships may vary depending upon the competitiveness of each sport.
Some universities have different terminology for their athlete support programmes. We have used the term ‘sport scholarships’ to encompass athlete

Within some universities it is a requirement for scholarship athletes to play for the university BUCS team.

Due to the nature of some courses, some universities may not allow certain students to get a sports scholarship.
CAN ATHLETES EXTEND THEIR DEGREE? The length of time a degree can be extended varies between universities but can be between 3-6 years.
Distance learning refers to the opportunity to continue studying on a degree programme whilst away from university for periods of time due to training,
