General Information
Kersey Recreation strives to offer a variety of sports
programs and activities for youth and adults of all ages and
skill levels.
Our GOAL is to provide quality programs and activities that
promote participation, comradery and diversity for our
community.
Our MISSION is to promote sportsmanship, leadership,
team building and skill development by providing safe, fun
and engaging programs and activities.
Our DESIRE is to produce responsible, caring and equipped
individuals in our community.
Resident/Non-Resident Fee Structure Information:
Resident Status: those living within the Town of Kersey limits
*Non-Resident Status: those living outside the Town of Kersey limits
*Non-Resident community members with children attending Platte Valley Schools can receive ‘Resident’ fee rates*

United Way Scholarship Information
Scholarships are available for the following sports:
NVAA Basketball, Volleyball and Soccer
Hot Shots Basketball, Soccer, Flag Football, T-Ball and Coach Pitch
Scholarships cannot be used for:
Swimming Lessons
Field Trips Scholarships awarded in
Community Events $20.00 increments!!!
Summer Activities
GEYL Baseball and Softball
Scholarships will not be awarded without this paperwork!
There is a limited number of scholarship money available per sport. Awarded participants will be
granted on a ‘first-come-first-serve’ basis. There will be no holds or reservations allowed for
scholarships. Parents/Guardians must provide proper documentation from the child’s school
indicating their Free/Reduced Lunch status upon registration submission.
Volunteers Needed
We are always looking for volunteer coaches for youth sports, as well as extra personnel for
community events and activities. If you would like to volunteer please contact us!

Program Refunds
Refunds will be issued on a ‘case-by-case’ basis dependent upon registration requirements,
cancelled programs, emergency circumstances or other approved parental consent.

Weather Conditions
In the case of inclement weather, coaches will inform teams of
cancellations or rescheduled activity times. If you do not hear
from a coach, assume scheduled activities to commence as
usual. Please contact the Kersey Recreation Department if you
have any weather related concerns:

Waiting List/Late Registration Information
Waiting lists are formed after ‘Registration Deadlines’ have been completed. We want every child
to have the opportunity to play sports or be involved in community activities. In the case a waiting
list is formed, we will make every attempt to provide space for your child. When a spot becomes
available we will inform parents/guardians as quickly as possible.

Youth Sports Information
Registrations:
Each sport and activity is given a registration deadline. We do not guarantee participation in a
given sport or activity beyond that specific registration deadline (see Waiting List policy). If roster
space becomes available, we will inform parents and community members with those options.
Please fill out registrations completely and provide adequate contact information for parents/
guardians.
Coach Request:
If you child desires to play with a specific coach, please confirm with them personally they will be
volunteering for that sport. Coach requests can be ‘written-in’ on Registration Forms, and will be
formed on a ‘first-come-first-serve’ basis depending upon the registration submission date.
However, often times certain requested coaches teams fill quickly. we reserve the right to move
participants to alternate teams if the case requires.
Player/Friend Request:
We will do our best to accept these requests; both players/friends must indicate on registration
form the request to play together. we reserve the right to move participants to alternate teams if
the case requires.
Divisional Play:
All sports and activities are separated into divisions based on age or grade groups. Depending
upon the league, options for participants to ‘play-up’ may exist. Most often participants wishing to
‘play-up’ one age or grade division is acceptable. All requests to ‘play-up’ must be approved by the
Recreation Director. Players cannot ‘play-down’ in any age or grade division, no matter the
circumstances.
Facility Rental Information
The Town of Kersey has several rental facilities available for
community events:
Kohler Park Pavilion, Centennial Park Pavilion, Centennial
Picnic Pavilion and the Kersey Community Center.

NVAA Volleyball
Played with NVAA League affiliates:
Evans, Eaton, Platteville, Ft. Lupton, Keenesburg, Estes Park,
LaSalle and Wiggins
*games located at alternating host sites on a weekly basis*
Registration: June 14 - July 28
Practices begin: week of August 30th
Games begin: week of September 11th
*all games held on Saturday’s*

Players should be prepared to wear masks at all locations pending updated
guidelines for facility usage.
Volunteer coaches needed for all divisions!
Games will be held at altering sites each weekend; parents are responsible for
transportation of players to games.
All divisions will be using the Volley Lite 7oz. Inflated volleyball..

Little Kicks Soccer
Program will be parent led!
Registration: June 14 - July 28
Program dates: Wednesday evenings starting August 18th and
concluding September 22nd (weather permitting)
Groups: Cost:
3-5 years old (no K) $30 Res./$35 Non-Res.
All program dates will be held at Centennial Park (300 Civic Circle-Kersey).
Program will be one night a week for 1 hour.
The first 20-30 minutes is skills and drills, the last 20-30 minutes is gameplay
We will have a pizza party and award night on the final program date.
Flu Shot Clinics - Banner Health
Date: Tuesday September 21st
Time: 10-11am
Date: Thursday September 23rd
Time: 5:30pm-7pm
Cost: $35.00 per vaccine
Location: Kersey Community Center-215 2nd St.

Kersey Community Center
The Community Center offers many different programs and
events for a wide range of individuals.
The Kersey Seniors have weekly lunch meals on Tuesdays and
Thursdays for anyone over the age of 60. Meals need to be
ordered the day before each lunch, either Monday or
Wednesday, by 11am. There is a suggested donation of $4.00 per
meal ordered. Meals are served at 11:30am, but members are
encouraged to come in early to socialize and spend time with
friends from the community!
We also a small variety of adult and family fitness programs
during weekday evenings and at specific times throughout the
week. Other events we host include Paint Nights, Hunter’s
Education Courses, Flu Shot Clinics, Health Help and Blood Draw
Checks. There is also opportunities for building rentals for private

Business Sponsorship Opportunities
Do you have a desire to see young people participate in youth enrichment sports
and activities? Here is your chance to help make that happen!
We are currently looking for area businesses to sponsor youth sports teams,
players and programs. Your sponsorship could provide a young person the
opportunity to enroll at a drastically reduced price, or even participate for free!
Plus, your business gets named as a local sponsor and contributor to Kersey
Recreation!
Below are the listed sponsorship levels: (subject to change at any time)
Player Scholarship:
Provides an individual player a free scholarship for one sport/activity
$35.00-130.00
Team Sponsorship:
Business logo is placed on one teams t-shirts/jerseys for one sport season; as well
as in the next quarterly brochure
$125.00
Program Sponsorship:
Business provides specific funds for purchasing t-shirts/jerseys and new equipment
(logo placed on t-shirts/jerseys and quarterly brochure)
2 teams $300.00; 4 teams $600.00; 8+ teams $1000.00
Event Sponsorship:
Event/activity specific sponsorships for kids and families
(business logo on advertisement, flyers and any apparel used at specific events)
