INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
    PEGGY ADAMS ANIMAL RESCUE LEAGUE'S INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League seeks highly motivated, dedicated,
and passionate individuals who are interested in gaining experience in
certain aspects of animal welfare, marketing management, human
resources, education and information technology. If you are looking for a
challenging and rewarding experience within an animal shelter
environment, this may be the internship for you!

ABOUT PEGGY ADAMS
The Mission of the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League of the Palm Beaches,
Incorporated is to provide shelter to lost, homeless and unwanted animals, to provide
spay and neuter and other medical services for companion animals, and to care for,
protect, and find quality homes for homeless and neglected companion animals, to
advocate animal welfare, community involvement and education to further the bond
between people and animals.

Our Vision is to create a community where 100% of the adoptable animals find loving
homes and no animals will be euthanized because of pet overpopulation.

Here is a quick glimpse of how we made an impact in 2019:
   37,082 Total number of cats and dogs benefited by Peggy Adams' programs and
   services
   6,087 Pets placed into loving homes, (of which, 1,252 cats and dogs were
   adopted from Pet Store partners)
   7,090 Lost, injured or homeless cats and dogs were provided temporary shelter
   4,876 Lost, injured or homeless cats and dogs were brought to us by Palm Beach
   County residents
   2,214 Cats and dogs transferred in from Animal Care and Control and other local
   rescues

ABOUT PEGGY ADAMS continued

   318 Lost pets reunited with their grateful guardians
   14,644 Total number of spay and neuter surgeries (includes shelter surgeries)
   9,101 The number of cats and dogs spayed/neutered, vaccinated and
   microchipped at no cost to the community through grant funding
   7,282 Pets fed through Peggy’s Pantry Food Bank - a free community pet food
   bank to help keep animals in their homes when their owners are struggling
   financially
   9,162 Affordable vaccinations provided for cats and dogs
   3,344 Cats and dogs cared for by Peggy Adams' Foster Program who were
   underage, pregnant/nursing, injured or just needed a little extra love before
   entering our Adoption Program
   702 The number of kittens who have been admitted to and cared for within our
   Kitten Nursery where they received around-the-clock care 24 hours a day, 7
   days a week
   611 Active Foster Volunteers donated 251,416 hours
   593 Campus Volunteers donated 42,006 hours of service

Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League is an independent, 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization serving Palm Beach County, and does not receive funding from city,
state, or the federal government. We rely solely on the generosity of individuals,
foundations and corporations to provide quality programs and services to the
community.

Our goal is to provide a well-rounded experience in the intern's field of study and
teach our interns what it takes to work in a professional environment, while
educating them about homeless feline and canine pet populations. As an intern,
you can expect to gain first-hand experience to help you fulfill your career
aspirations.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
internship requirements & prerequisites
Interns must meet the following criteria/requirements:

   Enrolled in an accredited College or University

   Coordinate your internship with your school directly

   Current resident of Palm Beach, Broward, Martin or St. Lucie County (outside
   residents can be considered pending proof of temporary residency)

   Must be at least 18 years of age

   Understanding that this internship is UNPAID and does not include any financial
   compensation or stipend

   Ability to commit to an agreed upon schedule for the duration of the three
   month internship

    Provide their own mode of transportation to Peggy Adams

   Able to kneel, stoop, bend, twist, lift, reach, push, and pull.

   Ability to speak fluent English (both verbal and written)

   Maintain a positive attitude and able to work in a team environment

    Must be able to multi-task and be flexible in a work environment

   Working knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms (Word, Excel, Outlook &
   PowerPoint)

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Available internship roles

  Marketing Intern - available for Spring 2021
  As a Marketing Intern, you will obtain tangible experience by working alongside the Peggy
  Adams Animal Rescue League's Marketing team to create a marketing plan for the
  Rescue Proud brand.

  Goals & Objectives:
     Learning E-Commerce to build the RescueProud.com website
     Learning how to update a website
     Building a marketing plan and timeline for the Rescue Proud brand
     Creating social posts to promote the Rescue Proud brand
     Working collaboratively with the marketing team
     Learning how to write press releases
     Learning digital marketing basics
     Shadowing team members on TV interviews
     Updating the lobby TV
     Updating Signage around the adoption center and wellness clinic

  Commitment:
     The intern must commit to a minimum of 16 hours per week, or more, depending on
     their schedule

  Required Skills:
     Interns are expected to be comfortable using all social media platforms, including
     Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. They will also be expected to learn hot to updated
     and use and e-commerce website with the Marketing team.
     This job will require copywriting; strong writing skills required

  Expectations:
     The intern will join the Marketing Team for department meetings and give updates on
     their progress to the team. The intern will be evaluated at the midpoint of their
     internship and again at the end of their internship.

How to Apply
Applications will be accepted for approximately a four week timeframe, leading
up to the semester. Refer back to page three for specific deadlines.

Please note, only applications submitted by serious applicants will be considered.
Submitting an application does not guarantee you an internship role. All
applicants will be reviewed and evaluated on the quality and completion of their
application.

Based on the applications received, only a select number of applicants will move
forward to the interview process, and from there a limited group of interns will be
chosen each semester.

requirements you will need, when you submit your application, as well as a
sample      application.  If   you    have      questions,    you can email
