In order to keep families safe, ECFE classes may look slightly different this year. Class sizes will be limited, adults
and children will be asked to wear masks and we will be cleaning and sanitizing even more than usual between
class sessions. Despite these changes, we will continue to provide you with the positive ECFE experiences you’ve
come to expect. We look forward to seeing you in class!

# 1037/#1037B Marvelous Mix (ages 2-5)

#1037 Mix it up! This class has a little something for everyone. Parents and children spend the first half of
class together on developmentally appropriate activities such as sensory experiences, making art projects,
painting, and other games and activities that build preschool skills. Next, you’ll enjoy a circle time together,
which is filled with singing, music, movement, finger plays, rhymes, and fun! After circle time the children have
a social time of free play that is modeled and monitored by a licensed ECFE teacher. Meanwhile, parents have
some time to visit with others about relevant parenting topics.

Note: This is a separating class.

# 10061 Preschool Preview (Child must be 31 months by April 1, 2021 to attend this class)
Preschool Preview helps support the transition to preschool by providing an introductory preschool experi-
ence with a gradual parent separation time. Children and parents attend the first two classes together, first
playing and working on preschool skills, and then separating to allow children to have peer interaction
while parents have parent discussion time. The remainder of the session consists of child-only classes
where children will experience a two hour “preschool day”. Their day will include developmentally appro-
priate large and small group activities which introduce them to preschool skills, a snack time, and a time of
free play where they have opportunities to meet other children and develop social skills.

                                              Screening Dates

                                Wednesday, June 2 & Thursday, June 3, 2021

You may register for screening by calling
                                       Community Education: 952-467-7390

It is required that all children be screened before entering Minnesota Public School Kindergarten. Early Childhood
Screening is FREE through the school district. Children should be screened between the ages of 3-5 (before Kinder-
garten). We at ECFE feel the best time to screen is from 3 years 2 months to before your child’s 4th birthday. Private
schools may not require screening, but it is a good way to check your child’s development.
