WEYBURN SKATING CLUB
The Weyburn Skating Club provides skating lessons for children of all ages. We have several programs to fit your child’s
needs – from learn to skate in Pre-CanSkate (age 3) and CanSkate (ages 4 and up) to the Bridging and Competitive
StarSkate program. Our CanSkate Programs start again on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019. ONLINE registration opens at 6 p.m. on

Preschool             Ten week sessions, one day per week. Kids have fun exploring equipment, playing games and

2302 ROYAL CANADIAN ARMY CADETS
Meets Tuesday’s from 6:30 p.m. - 9:15 p.m. at the Legion. Ages 12 - 18 welcome!
Army Cadets develop abilities in camping and survival skills, hiking, marksmanship, personal fitness, adventure training
and much more. Cadets get involved in ceremonial military events and citizenship activities that allow them to connect
to their Canadian heritage. Cadets are encouraged and given opportunities to become leaders in their corps and in their
communities. As they gain experience they may be selected to join in activities such as paid summer camps and other
outstanding travel opportunities. There are ZERO registration costs. Runs September to early June. For more

Recreational Programs
Recreational Stars (Levels 1 – 10) – Athletes ages 5 and Up
This program provides the opportunity to experience the basic concepts of synchronized swimming, while integrating
science of athlete development, swimming and stroking, as well as strength and flexibility. Levels are designed to foster
success, with the ability for an athlete to complete multiple levels in a season. Successful completion of this program will
prepare an athlete for our competitive program.
Season Schedule:
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30-5:30 p.m. *Each level is 10 classes and assessment/registration night
Session-1: Sept. 26 - Registration/assessment. Classes: Oct. 1- Nov. 5
Session-2: Nov. 7 - Registration/assessment. Classes: Nov. 12- Dec. 12
Session-3: Jan. 7 - Registration/assessment. Classes: Jan. 9- Feb. 11
Session-4: Feb. 25 - Registration/assessment. Classes: Feb. 27- April 2
Cost is $110.00 for each session payable at Registration Night. Includes a cap, nose clip and Synchro Sask registration.
Athletes are welcome to register for multiple sessions.

Competitive Programs
Competitive – 10 and under - Athletes born in 2010 and 2011.
This includes two sessions per week with 1.25 hours of pool time each day. This is designed for athletes that want to
experience the competitive aspect of synchronized swimming while having fun. These athletes will take part in two
competitions during the season, Fall Figure Meet and Provincials.
Season Schedule:
Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4:30–5:45 p.m. *Meet in upper mezzanine at 4:15 p.m. to stretch
Wednesday Dryland TBD.
Competitive – 12 and Under - Athletes born in 2009 and 2008
Competitive – 13-15 yrs – Athletes born in 2007, 2006 and 2005
Competitive – 16-20 yrs – Athletes born in 2004, 2003, 2002 and 2001
This includes two sessions per week. This is designed for athletes that want to experience the competitive aspect of
synchronized swimming while having fun. These athletes will take part in four competitions during the season, Fall
Figure Meet, Diane Lemon, Provincials and CPC

 Sparks          Thursdays       Girls are encouraged to try a bit of everything and begin discovering their individual skills,
 (ages 5-6)      6:30-7:30 p.m.  talents and interests. Girls will make lots of new friends, start earning badges and begin to
                                        learn all kinds of new skills in a safe and fun atmosphere.
 Brownies        Wednesdays             This program is all about encouraging girls to develop their own identity and positive

                                        organize their own events and outings and are encouraged to explore new interests in
                                        diverse areas such as photography, web design, fashion, engineering and more.

SOUTH EAST SPORT, CULTURE & RECREATION DISTRICT
South East Sport, Culture & Recreation District helps promote the Games, and our Mission Staff oversee Team South

Mission Statement:
To foster a community of like-minded women who are employed in the Oil & Gas and allied industries, but also open to
all female members of the public who want to make a positive impact and give back to our community. The committee
shall support the education and advancement of its community through volunteerism and charitable donations.
Purpose:
The purpose of the Weyburn Oilwomen Association Inc. shall be to raise funds to be distributed back to the
community through scholarships & bursaries, donations to various sporting or arts organizations and community
outreach programs that are in need of financial assistance. We will endeavor to contribute back to the community in the

History:
Young Fellows Club of Weyburn was formed in 1922 and with over 95 years of
serving Weyburn area we have given over 2 Million dollars back to the community.
Projects & Donations:
Our projects include Christmas Tree Sales, Catering & Bartending, a Comedy Night Event, and our largest project the
Online Auction. All monies are used to support various athletic, educational, and parks & recreation programs used by
people in the Weyburn area. Every dollar raised by the Young Fellows goes back to the community. Young Fellows in
Weyburn has been in the community for over 95 years.
Fellowship:
“FELLOWSHIP” is an important part of the Young Fellows Club of Weyburn. It is one of the reasons this Club was founded
over 95 years ago. To bring together young men within the city, and create an organization to serve the community, and

CANADIAN MENTAL HEALTH ASSOCIATION - WEYBURN (CMHA)
Community Programs/Services - The Canadian Mental Health Association's (CMHA) Weyburn Branch community
resource centre provides structured recreational, socialization and training programs for adult community members
living with mental illness or struggling with their mental health. The activities are designed to promote positive
interaction, build self-confidence and provide access to community and centre based components. Some of these
activities include: attending community events, tours, bowling, swimming, crafts, discussion groups, coffee outings,
day trips, billiards, skating, movies, nature walks, dining out, garage sales etc.

We also offer programming to aid in learning new skills or building on some the consumers already have. These
include Writer’s Group, Art Program, Vocational training, and Sewing Classes.
Becoming a member of CMHA Weyburn you are not only helping to support our local branch, but you will be involved in
supporting mental health programs and initiatives within our community. Memberships are available at differing levels.

CMHA Weyburn is also able to provide the following workshops, safeTALK – Suicide Alertness for Everyone, and ASIST –
Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. If you or someone you know is interested in attending or hosting one of the
