To the Addison Community
Dear Fellow Community Members,
Welcome to the Addison Park District Summer Activity Guide 2021. We are excited to share programs,
classes, and special events with the community again and have a full summer slate of fun, family
friendly programs for all to enjoy.

We are happy to announce that we have two new Commissioners joining the Addison Park District
Board. Please welcome Michael Clementi and Stacey Ruffolo. The Addison Park District Commissioners
represent the recreational needs of the community as well as help to create Park District Policy and to
oversee the finances of the District. The Park District Board of Directors meets on the fourth Monday of
each month at 6:00PM at the Community Recreation Center, 120 East Oak Street.

Many of our Comeback Summer Programs include our acclaimed All Star Summer Camp, swim lessons
at the Centennial Club Fitness pool, special events throughout the summer, five new children’s preschool
classes, the annual preschool open house on June 23rd, reopening of the indoor walking track located
in the upper area of the gym that is free for all community members to walk or jog, student summer
membership to Club Fitness, more programs from the Senior Club for Active Adults, Putter’s Peak Mini
Golf opening with full summer hours, and Kid’s Golf Camp.

We are looking forward to a successful summer season and we are here for you, creating new classes
and continuing with the programs and service you know and love.

Sincerely,

Jen Hermonson
Executive Director

The Learn to Swim Program is designed to enhance each participant’s ability to progess from one level to the next. It is not
unusual for a child to repeat a level more than once before passing. The first class of each session will be the testing day
that will allow us to put the child in the appropriate level. Parent/child classes are cancelled until phase 5. Sign up soon,
                  maximum 4 members per class!
