At the Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce we have made it our priority
to continue to support the growth of both the Maumelle community and the
businesses that surround it. We realize for many, the Chamber is a main
source for Maumelle information. This is why we strive to provide valuable
resource information to not only help promote our business members, but to
help guide those who are seeking our services within the Maumelle Area.
The success of our business members within this community is extremely
important to us. The Chamber provides numerous opportunities for you to
grow and develop your business.

The Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce is an action-oriented
business organization formed to promote a favorable business climate
for its membership and community, and to provide business leadership
in economic and civic development.

The Board of Directors is responsible for establishing procedures and formulating
policy for the Maumelle Chamber of Commerce. It is also their responsibility for
adopting all policies, control its property, oversee the Chambers finances, and

This family-friendly festival is a great way to connect local businesses and
residents in a fun and energetic atmosphere. The FREE-ADMISSION festival
held in the Town Centre of Maumelle has something for the entire family:
business vendors, arts & crafts, Kids Zone, Beer Garden, Game Day TV
Sporting events ,Puppy Park, Car Shows, food trucks, local and regional
entertainment, games, and so much more! The festival is run almost
exclusively by volunteers from the Maumelle Area, including the local
parks and recreation, city police and fire departments. Proceeds of Bash
on the Boulevard festival help to raise funds to support economic
development and promote entrepreneurship opportunities in the area.
This is great event to get out meet your neighbors, your local businesses
and your COMMUNITY!!

Ambassadors are highly visible, prestigious volunteers
who serve as the Chamber’s primary liaison to new
Chamber members. Considered the goodwill arm of the
Chamber, Ambassadors play an essential role in member
recruitment, communication and retention. Each
Ambassador is charged with conveying member needs,
questions and concerns to Chamber staff, and keeping
our Chamber in line with our members’ desires.
Ambassadors make a commitment to build lasting
relationships with the membership, particularly new
Chamber members, in order to build a loyal, committed
membership base that will continue to support,
participate and invest in the Chamber.
The Ambassadors meet the first Wednesday of every
month at 11:00 am.

Ambassador Benefits
MACC Ambassadors will receive:
An official MACC name badge that recognizes them as an Ambassador
The ability to greatly increase their networking base and build lasting relationships
A discount on MACC logo merchandise when applicable
Ambassador of the Year will receive recognition at the Annual MACC Banquet ,
will be awarded at the Annual Banquet, will receive a year spotlight on MACC
website, will receive social media recognition, and the opportunity to have an
article in a Print Media outlet.
Ambassador Spotlight will be awarded quarterly to the chosen Ambassador and
will receive social media recognition, a spotlight on the MACC webpage, and
email blast to promote their business for that month.
Ambassadors will be eligible for door prizes given at each Chamber function.
Ambassadors will have the opportunity to represent their company as an official
Ambassador at all Chamber related events.
Ambassador Terms of Service
We welcome any Ambassador to continue serving as long as they can be actively
involved and fulfill their commitment as an Ambassador. Each Ambassador will
renew their “Commitment Pledge” on a yearly basis.

understand how important it was in determining your path
in life. And now you are able to share your knowledge
and leadership with the next generation. The Maumelle
Area Chamber of Commerce Educational Committee will
be working closely with Maumelle High School to provide a
program where students and business leaders can work
towards the future.
The Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce Educational
Committee had dedicated their time and efforts to help
our students by providing an opportunity for professional
development, share community connections, establish
partnership programs in Maumelle, and motivate students
within the education system.
The Educational committee meets the first Tuesday of
each month during the school year.

Volunteer Opportunities
Senior Business Luncheon:
Connect with students during a catered lunch from 11:30 to 1:00pm. This gives the
students the opportunity to ask you key questions on what companies look for in
employees, how to act when they are on the job, life lessons, and so much more.
This is a great opportunity to motive and inspire students.
Become a Classroom Mentor
Volunteer just 30 minutes of your time each month to an assigned classroom for the
year. Each volunteer is assigned a teacher contact and a classroom. You will be
provided materials needed to start the mentoring program and have a teacher to
help guide you. This is a great way for students not only to learn from you, but make
that contact for the future.
Annual MHS/Chamber Business Luncheon
Join us in February as business leaders and teachers come together for lunch to
discuss what skills need to be taught in the classroom. This allows our teachers
prepare our students for a career and a stronger future.

Can’t volunteer a lot of time? The Chamber Educational Committee have several
opportunities and programs that we will help motivate and educate our students.
You can be apart of this program by becoming a sponsor for several of our events.

Committee funds a yearly scholarship program for local
students. These scholarships were available to ANY Maumelle
resident that will graduate high school in 2020. The scholarship
criteria is based on the applicant's scholastic achievement,
leadership in school activities, demonstrated superior service
to the community and reputation for moral character. In ad-
dition, students must also have a minimum 2.5 cumulative
high school GPA, complete a application questionnaire and
submit a 300-500 word typed essay.
In early 2019, seniors can obtain the scholarship applications
from the Chamber of Commerce. The Educational
Committee reviews all applications, and will make the final
decision using Board approved guidelines. Scholarships are
awarded in early spring. By donating to the MACC
Scholarship fund you are changing the lives of our students
here in Maumelle.

Armed with cardboard, duct tape and a few other odds and ends,
participants use skill and ingenuity to transform these materials into a
vessel for the water. Not only does their ‘boat” need to be quick, but it
must be capable of carrying passengers as well. Teams of two will
design and construct a boat to participate in a race at Lake Willastein.
This is a great team building project for businesses, and a fun and
entertaining event for spectators to watch.

Educational Committee, this 5K is more than just a race. Groups of business
leaders mentor to young trailblazers on the importance of marketing, sales,
business and teamwork to create this great race. Working side by side with
students this fun run event is designed to promote community wellness and
pride. The 5k course begins and ends at the Maumelle High School Stadium
and winds through the industrial park of Maumelle . Gather your co-workers,

This Natural Beauty Pageant gives young ladies the opportunity to showcase
a contestant’s natural good looks, poise and charm. This event places more
emphasis on a person’s natural appearance and inner beauty. It is open to
a range of age groups from infant to 19 yrs old. Awards are presented in
each category Most beautiful, Best personality, Best smile, Prettiest Eyes and
Best Fashion. This will give young people the confidence and encourage-
ment needed to be successful in many aspects of their life. Our royalty
queens and princesses will participate in volunteer opportunities, ride in com-
munity parades and represent Miss Maumelle Area at several community
events during the year of their reign. The Queens will be presented during the
Bash on the Boulevard Festival.

Photography contest is open to Maumelle Area Residents. We want to
encourage Professionals, Amateurs, Adults, Students to submit photos
that are Maumelle specific. They must capture the feeling and sense of
our community. Buildings, parks, lakes, streets, kids, families, anything
MAUMELLE!!!Once all submissions have been accepted, a panel of
judges will select the Top 20 Finalist. Finalist will be contacted and the
Maumelle Area Chamber of Commerce will host an Online Community
Wide Vote to select the Top 4 Winners
Media
Winning photos will be printed and displayed in the Maumelle Area
chamber of commerce office and/or the Jess Odom Community
Center. Event information and winning photos are included in the
weekly Chamber eNewsletter, in print media , and numerous social me-
dia outlets.

pating and what fun treats they are offer-

What
The Maumelle Leadership Development Program identifies emerging leaders and
professionals, and motivates them to become champions of our community. Every
aspect of the program is designed to create a city with a strong economy that is stimu-
lated by progressive leadership.
The Amazing Maumelle Race Leadership Development will foster a commitment to a life
of community service through leadership experiences. Participants will learn about local
government, civic organizations, commerce, law enforcement, tourism, education and
other resources so that graduates can be an effective contributor in the community.
Throughout the Amazing Maumelle Race participants will be introduced to a variety of
opportunities for involvement. The goal is to help develop these experiences into
leadership roles within the Chamber and the City of Maumelle. By taking a look at
Maumelle's past, present and future the program will assess, plan and implement
strategies to grow a thriving city. In addition, it will develop a favorable climate for
commerce, strong knowledgeable leaders and a love for our community.
The program kicks off in May and ends with graduation in
January at the Annual Banquet. It will open with the
Amazing Maumelle Race Launch Party. Participants will
attend three more development sessions at various
locations in the Fall. Our final meeting in November will
include an interactive teambuilding adventure racing
around the City of Maumelle. The Amazing Maumelle
Race will require the skills and knowledge acquired
throughout the program to complete the various tasks
and Pit Stops along the route. Be the "First team to arrive"
and win the grand prize! This program will make a
positive impact in your career and the Maumelle Area.
